Wow so sorry your parents are so negative and will make you feel bad. My mom will be happy but I still choose to keep it a secret. She only lives 10 min away too and we see each other often but last time I didn’t tel her till 22 weeks and this time I am going to sit as long as I can again. I am 10 weeks now and we have not told a single person. We will wait till we know gender and then tell a few people but the bulk will wait till after 15 weeks or more. I am really am sorry your parents make you feel this way.

there is every chance this is a girl i really hope it is, oh believe me if i had known about swaying i would have swayed for my first just like you did and if i could have chosen my family in advance id have chosen a big all girl family no doubt, just because you have 1 girl doesnt mean your gd is any less than someone who has no girls, some women are totally happy with a mix of genders as long as they get one girl in the mix while others desperately want a single gender family. You guys are naturally quite pink friendly arent you? (im trying to remember your posts from dd1) im sure it was you who seemed quite set for pink even without the sway
tell me if im wrong though!!

oh no im sorry they responded that way
i was also "too young" in my families eyes when i had my first and then there was the horror of me having more but now i think they've just given up!! we dont announce till after the birth, i dont want the stress!! is there any chance they will be pleased baby is a boy? or is gender not a factor for them.

no offence to your mum but she should go and "process this" privately while still Congratulating you, its not like you told her she has to have another baby, this is your child and she should be happy for you
i hope she comes round and gets excited soon
PUT THE PHONE DOWN haha seriously levels arent an indication of gender if it were reliable itd be used as a gender tool by now, twins i guess would be higher? though im no expert, perhaps your in for a double blue surprise
though if your dr thought twins they'd of said something wouldnt they?

Ha! I wish I would’ve thought to tell her that! I was just kind of shocked at first. She literally jumped up and down when my cousin announced that she was pregnant. I won’t be sharing a bunch of info with her about this pregnancy that’s for sure.
From what I’ve read twins Can have average, high, or low hcg, but higher hcgs can be an indicator, but definitely not a guarantee. My great aunt on my mom’s side has identical twins and my husband is an identical twin, but I don’t think identicals run in families. But, I’m ancient so I guess it’s a possibility. I have an ultrasound scheduled for next Tuesday. I’ll keep y’all updated.

ugh let her enjoy your cousins baby while she misses out on yours.. seriously this is her loss dont let it spoil it for you
no i dont think identical twins run in families but i'll keep an eye out for your update, hopefully its just a big strong healthy boy in there kicking out a ton of hcg
how many ids do you have? was your mum excited for your others?

let her get on with it, its not worth any stress on your end, if she wants to miss out by being negative then she can do.. i am sad that she is taking away from this experience for you by being this way though, we are all excited for you
are you doing NIPT for gender or scan?

I hope your parents are excited when you do tell them. I wish I would’ve waited longer to tell my mom.
