MFC- glad things are going well, can't wait for the update in 4 wks!

5- there's always more fxing to go around, gl on the job!

Lbam- sorry your egg is giving you so much trouble. I had mine fairly figured out but when attempt time came I was a few days late. It's so frustrating.

Kudos to those who've given up on an unchanging pH. Mine wouldn't budge without bsf so I stopped checking because it had me convinced I was doomed to fail. Hopefuly that gives you all some hope

Sorry to be absent, we've been so busy. My girls are out of school till January so we're trying to pack in lots of fun and quality time. I've got the nursery/dd3's room almost finished (minus paint) so I'll be posting pics soon. Gl to everyone, so exciting to be ttc this time of year!!

Hey everyone! I am on my last day of AF, and then it is attempt week! I am a little more relaxed than last time because I know what to expect this time, but I am having trouble getting farm eggs for the EW (I posted a whole thread about it) and DH has been releasing even though I told him not to (thread about that too).

I am excited though--I just want to be done swaying!!

My BOY sway worked!! THANK YOU GENDER DREAMING!!

Hi everyone! I've been super busy as well.

To answer someone's question, I get all sorts of free tickets.....one perk of my job....I run a big ballet company so I know all the peeps in the industry where I live. I had no idea this show was about death and abortion, and of course, they don't advertise that! But eh, we had a good night, for the most part.

I have a bunch of comments, so bear with me. I figured better to write all on same post so this thread doesn't get 100 pages deep already!

Hobbers, sorry about your DH. They are frustrating. I would just say maybe try not to worry about the soda/beer, etc, because I don't think it matters that much. I know some DHs are not into the swaying, but the most important thing is that he is probably not smoking much or being super unhealthy and not releasing like 2x a day all month, kwim? Try to control what you can, and just feed him well and ask him to take vits for the health of a future baby, or just crush them up and mix them into the spaghetti sauce, LOL.

LBAM, I think it is common for women to sometimes almost ovulate, and then not, and then actually ovulate a week or so later. Sometimes the body doesn't make enough estrogen to trigger the LH surge and thus, ovulation, and it will gear up and try again. Maybe some of the supps you are taking is causing this, or maybe it is just a random one-time occurrence. Maybe stress about ovulating has an effect.....no one really knows, but as long as you track it and DO ovulate at some point, I think all is well. I think you did now and are safely in the 2ww. I would say if this happens again, maybe try to just dtd every other or every 3rd day for a good stretch of the month and you should have it covered, and be swaying blue with a good sperm count.

2PnB- I took 50mg of Clomid with no trigger shot....which many docs prescribe to start off with. What they will do is likely give you a 50mg scrip, taking anywhere from CD2-4 on for 5 days, and then probably want to do a CD21 progesterone check to see if you ovulated. (And my advice for that is to track your O and just go for the prog check 7 days after O....they always assume you O on CD14, which is stupid medical status quo that is used still.) What I'm saying is that you may not need a trigger, just the Clomid. If you are not ovulating after the Clomid (as evidenced by your progesterone level at 7dpo), then they may add in a trigger.

3P1B- yay for a good appt and passing the GD test! Do you homeschool? How are your girls done so early? I'd love that!

Bec- my advice with your friend would be to just be honest but sensitive while telling her if you get pg. From my stance and situation, I can tell you that I've had many friends say they didn't want to tell me, which made me feel worse, actually. I think real friends will be happy for you even if they have fertility issues....as long as you don't rub it in their faces, which I am sure you wouldn't do anyway. That sucks that she needs ivf though....I am all too familiar with having to stare the lab in the face with the prospect of having a baby, especially because of the price. Just offer your support as much as possible but don't feel bad about announcing if you are pregnant. She will respect you for your honesty and friendship.

Alexis, I gotta say.....I wish we had done an SA way earlier. I don't think it's a bad idea, just to know. Just in case, because things can change for us in a skinny minute with fertility, and I'd hate for you to have months of confusion and frustration if you didn't know like we did. I am much happier now that we know, so we can specifically work on the sperm issue and also have a sense of calm because we know it may take a while. As far as the HSG- my doc wanted me to have one a long time ago, and my out-of-pocket costs would have been over 2K, so I told her we'd wait on that. Odds are if you had babies recently (and yours are little, right?) and haven't had any surgery or anything funny going on down there that you are not blocked. I'll tell ya, girl, sometimes it just takes a while to conceive and there is nothing in the world wrong with you. I would say that Clomid might be a good first step....just a few months on it....and see if that helps. Maybe you are not ovulating as regularly? Also, maybe you guys are missing your o? I don't know, just a few suggestions. I am really glad that your tests all came back good, though! Have you guys been dtd a lot or just a one-time shot? You may need to dtd every other day from CD10-18 or so and see if that helps. My doc recommended that for us early on.

WP- good lord, I am so sorry you are still sick!!!! Glad you had fun at the show also! Seems like you need a week of down time before Christmas mayhem if you can swing it. When is your scan?

MFC- YAY for good numbers!!!! Looks like a sticky bean!!!! xxoo

And hi and lots of love and luck to everyone else, of course!

As for us- not much happening. I am CD10, just trying some different bd patterns to see if it affects DH's good old swimmers. We have decided to just try away until it happens and if nothing ever, then we are as we are. I have decided to investigate donor sperm and IUI just in case in a couple of years I just decide I must have one, but DH is not a big fan of that idea at all (for now). I am not really either, but I just can't stomach paying 25K for a baby. We just can't do it. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
(2002) (2005) from 1st marriage. TTC since Aug 2010- Dx: low sperm count and 1% normal sperm. We are giving up and moving on with a baby-free life.
UPDATE: surprise bfp in Feb 2013! It's a BOY!
