    Ok, here's today:

    7am: coffee
12pm: rice with yogurt, baby spinach and balsamic, 2 Peek Freans Lifestyles cookies
4:30pm: sugar cookie fresh out of the oven
5pm: pasta with primavera sauce (leeks, mushrooms, zucchini, 1/2 can no salt added tomatoes, garlic (I know it's a no-no, but I eat it now and then anyway), a pinch of salt, oregano and fennel seeds + parmesan on top. This was really yummy! I was planning to make my usual pasta with veggies and creme fraiche then I saw the leftover tomatoes from last night in the fridge and decided to throw them in. + another TWO sugar cookies for dessert
9pm: green grapes, 1/2 serving of low fat chips (this amounts to one handful), Mike & Ikes

    Calories: 1609
Protein: 44 (but again, about 10g of this is from fruit and veggies)
    Sodium: 895mg

Now that Christmas baking season is upon us, I don't know how I'm going to resist all those cookies as they come out of the oven - after smelling them baking and when they're warm and soft. I have a feeling I'm going to be doing a lot of cheating over the next few weeks. A BFP would be sooooo nice right about now....

I know…UGH!!! M.J., you have so much will power! I can’t stop at 1 or 2 cookies and I know this so I won’t even go there. I wish I had your strength! Not sure what I’ll do about Christmas cookies…I may just try to make a lot of “no bake” types so the smell doesn’t waft through the house...

Amari, I really don't think you're eating too much! It doesn't seem like too much at all. Also, you need that food b/c you're still dropping weight, already tiny and going on Clomid. ALL of this is already swaying pink for you! You are doing such a good job and I'm really hoping you get your BFP this first try!

Well...I DID eat 3, which amounted to over 300 calories...and believe me I was sooooo tempted to have more. What I tried to do was at least bake them close to a mealtime so eating it wouldn't raise my blood sugar in the middle of the afternoon. The cookies will just be the start of a lot of cheating, though (and not the worst thing since at least I'm allowed sugar on the diet). What I'm still most concerned about is all the meat I'm going to have to eat while staying at my in-laws' right around O-time if I don't get my BFP this cycle.

You talk about these so often I'm just about ready to ask you to buy some for me and mail them to me! We don't have Trader Joe's in Canada...

    Oh, boy.

We went out to dinner last night so I could treat myself to some lovely, lovely, lovely indian food and push myself to really start my diet today. I have decided to not try to actually conceive this cycle because I worry it'd be too little time spent on being on the diet (my period is due around December 10th... so that'd probably be a few+ weeks on the diet? I don't know if that'd be enough time, and hubby hasn't started to take the licorice root yet... please tell me if this isn't so and that there is just as good a chance in that little window, otherwise I'll refrain from actually TTC until next month and spend time on the diet.)

We slept in today until 10am (my kid is awesome for that, I don't know why. I guess the bed-sharing + breastfeeding means we always have a nice sleep in!)
    I have had:

0% fat yogurt about 5 hours after waking up...
I've had two cups of coffee with unsweetended 1% soy milk so far today.
Edited to add I've just had 1 slice of weight watchers danish bread with real unsalted butter on it (no low fat option i.e. soy spread, so oh well!)

Nothing else yet... it's 4pm! I guess I am being too strict! Or maybe not since we didn't get up until 10am. Hard to judge these things! For the most part I feel okay right now... though I am tempted on having a gloriously butter with jam crumpet. No! No! Don't go there! :P

I have to go to the store. I started this diet without very many diet-friendly foods! Going to the store tonight... any quick tips for inexpensive stuff that'd be good to stalk up on, let me know!

Are mushrooms okay on the girl diet?

Sounds like you're doing great, suregena! I tend to eat a pretty small lunch so I can save my calories/protein/sodium for a yummy supper. It's not uncommon for me to go from waking up at 5:30am until eating supper at 5pm within nothing but a cup of rice mixed with a TBSP or two of yogurt.

And yes, mushrooms are fine on the diet - I eat them all the time!

Phew, good. Mushrooms are a nice option instead of using quorn (I'm vegetarian so trying to... well, go slightly opposite my vegetarian diet in terms of my protein sources...)

I think it's easier while I'm at home. At work will be a whole different challenge. I've started this diet today because I am at home today and tomorrow. At work, I am awake at 5.30am, and I find that when I feel bored at work I want to snack so, so bad, and my lunches aren't until 1.30pm! So, a challenge... very much so. Should be interesting on Friday....
