Lemon, are on CD12 now or something? Are your temps still up? I think Atomic said somewhere recently that temps have to stay up for 3 days in a row to prove ovulation happened.

My mom always said something about my three sons which just made me upset! She clearly wanted me to have a daughter! I do not say anything to her anymore bc she has memory issues. It causes a lot of stress in my life and she is being tested for dementia as well as liver disease. My dad has parkinsons so basically I cannot tell them anything. All I know is everyone single family member would want a girl!

What does your mom mean when she says you have to be 100% certain it will be a girl. How does she think you can do that...it is 50-50! Right! I am sorry, I know your mom did not mean it that way,...they want what we want! It does not make it easier!

I am cd 11 and two days of high temperatures. I thought about it today and I figured maybe it was bc I was sick...silly me!
That would make sense!

So, now that I am cd 11...should I keep dtd everyday? Doesn't that sway boy?
We dtd cd9, 10 and this am after a release....last minute shot at what we thought might be o plus 12.
If I o on cd 14...when and how often should we bd?

I agree with Atomic about the temp being up for 3 days,.,....TCOYF says that.

Lemon - if you're just ready to get pregnant then it's easy, keep taking your OPKs (although obviously not this month if you've already O'd!) and DTD 2 or 3 days in a row (or DTD on your high and peak days if you're using a monitor) and forget about FR and abstinence. If you really want to be pregnant and not worry at all about swaying just DTD every other day throughout your cycle. I don't know what you mean about your attempt being perfect for a boy - if you're basing that on the timing then that's just not the case!

I know you dtd once on o day...but I have spent a year trying to time a 3 day cut off. I am a perfectionist and it became a perfect cut off that I was aiming for instead of a cut off!!!
I am truly not a good person when I think about it and I hate that!
I do everything not to get pregnant to be surprised it is a girl! I just want one soooo badly!
In that way, I figure I will never get one...if you try too hard it just won't happen.

So, given that I thought I od already but still thinking it will come on CD14..and I am cd 11 what should I do?
If I go everyday that sways boy right?
If I do cut off that sways boy?
If I do on o day that sways boy?
WTH sways girl??

We dtd cd 9 pm after abstinence, cd10 pm, cd 11 am after a release...so I am 3.5 days away.
DH says today is kind of a lost cause...shld I wait?

Well ladies, one of my co workers did the pencil divining test on me! LOL, have any of you had this done to you? She has a "special" pencil, and if it moves up and down you have boys and if it moves side to side you've had or will have girl(s). She warned me before hand that it tells even if you've had an abortion or M/C how many children you would have, have or will have.

So....we did it on my left hand and it definitely moved up and down twice, then side to side once, then up and down again before it finished....she swears this pencil tests works for everyone she knews/knows!

So it predicted B B G B for me.....although I am not going for a 4th child, so /scratches head at that one

Kind of cool it predicted girl for me I'm a roll with the all the girl predictions!

this was just for fun, but wondered if any of ya'll have succumbed to wacky "gender predictions" things such as the pencil test?

YES!
Sadly, when I was younger we had a group of girls on a girl weekend and we did the test.....it did not work in order but it did show us who wanted kids and who did not. This one girl said she did not want any kids at all and the pencil never moved!
I was supposed to have a boy and girl...and I have two boys!
My girlfriend was supposed to have a girl and then a boy..she had a boy and then a girl.
Maybe there is truth to it!
Anyone else????

Oh, and when I was pregnant the ring always went back and forth !!! Boy!

OMgoodness, I want a baby....I just got caught up in trying for a 3 day cut off...sorry, I just wanted to specify as it sounds like I wanted to try when I was infertile. Not the case....! Just ds was a 2 day cut off and as most women, I want to do something different.

Lemon, you know I love you, but I think you answered your own question by saying this:

THAT'S why you should let it go. You can't get your girl if you can't get pregnant, and a 3 day cut off obviously isn't working for you.

I think if I were in your situation, I'd use some more rephresh and continue to dtd every day until you know O happened. If you're concerned about ending up with too much sperm up there, then take a day or two break - but still have dh release - and do a couple more attempts right around O.

At the same time, I don't want you to have any regrets. If you really can't let the timing thing go, why not do a 2 day cut-off instead of a 3 day one? DTD tonight then stop and hope you O when you think you will. If you don't get your BFP this month, then try a 1 day cut-off next month instead.

Sorry you're feeling so confused - I really hope you get your pink BFP soon!

But, in fact...the only cut offs that worked were mixed with attempts close to o with shallow penetration and too much rephresh or replens. The ones that did not work were 3.5 day cut offs.....I am too old for this!
So, clearly my goal was to acheive the perfect cut off sway...not possible!

I am ready to switch it up...I think!
I really do want to be home and want my third baby!
I know so many shettles oppposites,.,...what is my problem????

Are you doing a couple of bding around o? Exactly around o?

i never really bought into it, because it changed depending on who was holding it, if my hubby was holding it, it went side to side, if my mother was holding it it went in a circle, so i figured it all depends on how steady the hand is of the person holding it.....

no i didnt get a chance to sway, i was planning to but got a surprise BFP a week before i was going to start.
a one shot deal 5 days before O, with missionary and J&D, and we both had the flu,, thats the extent of our sway...lol

First of all, you don't sound like an idiot - just someone who is stressed and overwhelmed by all the choices. Like all of us, you want to do the right thing and give yourself the best chance to get your girl.

My current plan is to do maybe 2-3 attempts right around O. Lots of people who are swaying for a girl bd on or just before O - I think it may be especially important to do this if you're over 35 and if you're leaving it all down to one attempt, as some do. Also, all the other swaying stuff we do can make it difficult enough to get pregnant as it is, so the way I see it - why add to that difficulty for something that doesn't seem to sway anyway?

I think you need to do what you'll feel most comfortable with. I really hope this is your month.
