I have banned all my favourite foods from the house until I'm off the diet. I do all the cooking around here anyway, so I make sure to make things for the boys and dh that I don't really like: hot dogs, ham, etc. There is no WAY I'd let them have pesto or pizza - two of my favourite foods - in front of me!!

    7am: coffee
12pm: shirataki noodles with 1/4 cup low sodium sauce and a pinch of parmesan and an apple and a gingerbread man for dessert
4pm: homemade shortbread cookie (damn that Christmas baking!)
5pm: rice pasta with homemade primavera sauce made with leeks, mushrooms, zucchini, canned 'so salt added' tomatoes, oregano and fennel + parmesan on top. Another shortbread cookie for dessert.
9pm: grapes, another shortbread cookie (ok, in my defense, these things are tiny), white wine, and a handful of Mike & Ikes

If I didn't know I haven't ovulated yet, I'd swear I was pregnant. I can't stop eating! I'm also so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open while watching a show with dh tonight.

I know! it's an awful tease, especially when I was already feeling down. I think I did quite well to not eat everything in sight

Jen - do you find that you miss the tea now that you're in the 2WW? I'd gotten to enjoy the ritual of several cups of tea all day long, and I found that last 2WW I was grasping desperately for something to replace it! atomic said 'pregnancy teas' are fine to have while in the 2WW and swaying, but I was never able to find any!

YES, Mocha! I'm also finding that w/out drinking it, I'm much hungrier. Drinking something warm seems to suppress my appetite. Would RRL tea be considered a preg tea? I may have to just heat some water and put some lemon in it or something...

Yeah, I was definitely hungrier without the tea too, and it's going to be even harder this next 2WW because we'll be constantly surrounded by food since it's Christmas.

As for the RRL tea, I could never find a definitive answer on that. DoulaMama told me it's fine to drink while pregnant, but Atomic strongly warned me against it. Atomic was the one who said a pregnancy tea would be fine, but as far as I know, they all contain RRL as well...but maybe it's the smaller amount of it that makes it ok? From independent we searches is seems a lot of women drink both peppermint and RRL tea while pregnant and are fine...but I want to be absolutely, positively sure that nothing will interfere with implantation, so I don't know what to do! I started drinking decaf coffee in the afternoon instead just so I could have something warm to fill my belly!

Yeah...I'd heard mixed data on RRL tea too so like you, I skipped it along w/the Pep T. I think Atomic said Pep T was okay if you had 1 cup here and there (and not in crazy swaying amounts) but I'm just such a nervous ninny so I think I'll just stick w/warm H2O and lemon if I cannot think of anything better. I'd do decaf coffee except coffee has started to really give me heartburn so it's just black tea (and only in the a.m.). Wow...now I'm wondering if black tea is okay in the 2ww...!?! Do you know?

I'm sure black tea is fine as long as you only have the one cup a day. I still drink my morning coffee during the 2WW, but I make sure I don't have any other caffeine in the day.

Normally I'm not so nervous about everything that goes into my body while pregnant, but after that experience we both had I think it's natural to be nervous ninnies....

I'm drinking RLT now while TTC, but will stop when I conceive and drink less of it during the 2ww
