Hi Everyone. I was just wondering what the best interval between children in regards to mom's health is? I would like to start my boy sway and I know having a baby just depleted many of my nutrients. I just want to make sure I give my body enough time to heal and get replenished before my boy sway.

At least 6 months is what they recommend for IVF and I am sure it would be the same. Good luck with your boy sway!

wait at least a year. not sure how true this is but i read somewhere that irish twins ( born less then 1 year apart) are 75% likely to be the same gender... in my case thats true.

For a boy, I would err on the side of waiting longer, at least 2 years (so the kiddos would be 2 years apart) altho I did have two boys back to back 20 mos apart! Also take into consideration your age, if you're older - you may need to try sooner to preserve your fertile window.

If having a baby depletes nutrients wouldnt it be good to try for a girl soon after your last? While your nutrients are low?

It can be a good thing, I agree. Just know that there are NO guarantees and it's SUPER hard on your body and sanity to have two kiddos that close together. My DS 3 and 4 are 20 months apart and not only are they both boys, but physically it was rough on me and it was VERY rough esp. that first month having two that were both really still infants. They both woke up at night for YEARS. It's only just now gotten better with sleeping thru the night and my youngest son is 2!!
