This is long, so don't feel like you have to read it all!!
The ob said the ovaries are going down, there were two cysts on the right and one on the left consistent with being overstimmed. She wants me to stay off this month and will reduce me to 100 clomid next month (she is a different ob from who I used before but in the same practice). She suggested I get more closely monitored somewhere else, but I convinced her to let me come back to her around the time I might be O'ing and she said she would do an u/s b/c there is no way in hell my dh is going to pay for a specialist when frankly it is just for swaying sake, we could just have sex every day of the month and he would be fine with that.) So, I will see if I get a period on my own, if not take the provera, then take the clomid cd 5-9 again. I have an apt set up both March 22 and 29th to look at my ovaries just to see where the folicles are as compared to the opks to get a better idea of when I might ovulate. And we might just have to dtd even more often that month. Hopefully it will work out better this time and we won't totally miss the egg or overstim.
She said vitex is fine.
She also gave me progesterone b/c I asked about it, but she said she doesn't believe that it lengthens lp at all. Does it hurt a pink sway to take it? Do you think I should add that around O time?
I am thinking of using rephresh/sylk this month when not on clomid and just dtd from cd 14-25 just for the hell of it to see if anything happens, although I had those really bad days of eating batches of cookies, pizza, french toast, oatmeal, peanut butter and jelly etc. to appease my dh. Do you think that makes it a no go and I should just wait til next month?

They said my midwife will have it within 2 business days, but I don't have an appt with her until February 22nd. I'm hoping she'll call instead of making me wait until then.

Mocha,I am so happy for you! and am excited about your 12 week scan! In the US we can ask questions and get answers like measurements and so forth. It must be so frustrating not to be able to ask and get answers straight away. I hope your doc calls with the measurements and so forth soon.
Amari, I am glad your doc agreed to keep seeing you. I know I cannot afford an RE for sure. I am not sure what I would do if I had to go to one. My doc did mention we might have to go that route though.4238,

So happy for you Mocha! If the midwife hasn't called you in a couple of days, I am sure you could call her and just explain your reasons for being anxious to hear some news.
Amari, I don't have advice on progesterone sorry. However, I would not worry about eating those foods. Hell, if we never had an attempt because we worried about some cheats, none of us would ever be able to get pg! GL for Feb and/or March, whatever feels right for you.

thats great mocha!!!
surgena, take another test...lol...its crazy for you to be late like that for no reason....
pink, sorry you feel so down, we have all been there at some point, but the others are right, you have one boy, chances are good your next will be girl, unless you are someone like me who has already had 4 boys in a row, then your chances start to fly out the window.
and if you continue swaying your chances of a girl are increased far more than if you just leave it to fate.
dont through the whole idea away just yet, just take some time out and think about it.
i hope you come to a decision that are truly happy with...
how is everyone else?

If you do the diet really strict this month then I would say go for it. As long as you are not going to have any regrets, because then I would tell you to wait.
I also do not believe that taking progesterone lengthens your lp at all -- from experience. I took it for all my IVF cycles and to be honest, my lp was shorter taking progesterone on the cycle than it is my natural cycles. My natural cycles I have a 14-15 day lp. My IVF cycles I only had a 13 day lp on progesterone. It is thought that if you have a higher progesterone level it sways girl. That is what vitex does. I personally would not add it on o day. You are not supposed to so I would not. You do not start taking progesterone until the day after ovulation.2005;

Good luck with the scan results! They usually call right away if there is a problem, otherwise it seems they just don't say anything! I'm in Canada too - BC. I LOVE our midwives! Sometimes I could care less for the medical system with all the politics (ie why can't we see our own scan results, etc?! And heck, I wouldn't even try to ask about placenta position myself because our techs here wouldn't say anything at all!), but it is nice to be able to know you will be treated when you walk in
