Hi Ladies, well some of you may have seen my post in here earlier when I got an unexpected positive OPK ladte on CD 12, when I thought I had already O'ed on CD 11 (I have short cycles so O'in in CD11 is actually quite normal for me). Anyway....
Poor DH has been on FR since AF started and has been releasing twice a day, every day (to quote him its better than abstinence which we did last time!). So 2 x releasing, and since CD 8 he releases in the am and we BD in pm. So far we have BD 5 nights straight.... oh and he is taking the 3 x Liquorice root tabs a day as well. Anyway, might be TMI so sorry in advance here.... when trying to finish in missionary position his legs etc started cramping etc (he thinks from cutting back on sodium and potassium?) and also all the releasing (12 days so far of 2xper day) and maybe the liquorice root started to take its toll.... the only way he could finish was in DoggieWe were kind on in the situation where is was do we want to catch this egg or not, and the only way he could finish was that way..... so thats what happened.
So, do you think that position is a major part of a sway? Or are the other aspects more important... the FR, diet, supps etc? Oh and I did J&D after 5-10mins and used the SET. Thoughts?

just wanted to wish you luck i don't think positions matter all that much, or at least they didn't for me. they say timing is your least importnant factor and to focus more on your diet and suppliments. all my girls were conceived on O day in doggy position. this little guy was concieved 5 days before O in missionary. but i will say the girls were all frequant release. this one was abstiance for 14 days before! i think you are on the right track.

Thanks girlmom, and huge congratulations to you by the way! I have always loved your signature and love seeing your latest great news on there!
Yes our BD was last night and it looks like I o'ed this morning so technically it is O-1.... all I can do is wait now and see what happens. The ending, although not ideal in a swaying sense was pretty much all that we could do at that stage to get more swimmers up there. I just have to hope that the diet, supps and everything else was enough to compensate for that! I am soooo over this diet now and just want to see a BFP more than ever.... fingers crossed.2012 is going to be a GREAT year

I don't think you need to worry about it at all with everything else you were doing. My DH also released twice a day leading up to our attempt and when it came to it he struggled to finish so I didn't even bother asking him to go shallow and of course we conceived a girl!

It's NOT at all important, not whatsoever. I doubt it even sways much at all (IF at all!). The only reason why I even include it is because it's easy for people to do.
Since position IS so easily done, and is widely known as part of Shettles' recommendations, that is one thing that most everyone includes even when they drop other things. So all the failed sways (esp. the blue ones!) were doing position if nothing else - goes to prove that position really just cannot sway because if it was some all-powerful sway tactic, there would be no failed sways!
Diet (specifically, maternal blood sugar and maternal and paternal testosterone - also controlled by supps) is 10 zillion kajillion quintillion times more important than position could ever be. Diet sways for real biological reasons - because it helps ensure that you conceive the gender baby with the best shot of survival. There is no way that God/Mother Nature would leave something as important as gender up to the luck of what position you happened to BD in!!!!! Ahh you ladies are just so wonderful and have put my mind at ease like you wouldn't believe
After reading your posts I can't believe I even stressed about it and potentially increased testosterone over it!
Thanks Zancal!! Yes, I think all the FR and the liquorice root etc was what did it... poor thing was pretty exausted by the end of it! Here's hoping we have a great outcome like you have had2012 is going to be a GREAT year
