Hmmm...I'm not so sure that it could be implantation spotting after a positive because the baby would already be implanted (which is why you get a positive - the baby has implanted and your body detects the hormones.)
That having been said, it may just have taken a bit of time for the blood to make its way out - so the implantation bleeding could have happened days ago and it's only just now found its way out.
There are also other reasons you can have a bit of bleeding in early pg - your cervix starts to get very soft and can be easily injured.

i bled for 3 months, i missed my first trimester. no idea why. i got a faint positive on a pregnancy test and within a day or so i started bleeding. bright red. so i assummed it was a chemical. i called my doctor and she said it sounds like a miscarriage and come back when i stop bleeding to make sure my hcg was back down to zero... i went back 3 months later when i finally stopped bleeding... imagine my surprise when during the u/s i saw a 12 week fetus flipping and flopping away in there. no idea why i was bleeding but im 32 weeks now.

That's kind of what I thought too... We actually haven't DTD AT ALL
in the past week, so I don't think it's an injury from that, but I have been checking my cervix (but haven't actually been able to find it, it's been so high!)
I haven't seen any more today... I am just going to relax and not worry about it... I took another test and it is even darker, and I go to doc tomorrow for betas, so I can't really do much about it anyway except wait!

I had what I thought was a full 5 day AF and had much the same experience as girlmom - tho I had deduced I was pg by then, I was expecting a little blob on the screen and was stunned to see a 13 week old baby! I said, "wow they're really a lot more developed than I thought" and the tech said, "I think you're a little further along than you think!"
