I have pretty much written off this cycle and have no hope that I will get a BFP. I need some help understanding what is happening.

Last night at about 9pm I did a normal 2 line test and both lines came up equally as dark which according to the box that is a positive....yet my digi test was negative.

This morning the test line was darker than the control line with both FMU and at 10am (which according to the box is definitely positive).....but digi test was still negative.

I tested again at 3pm with the 2 line tests and now the test line is a bit lighter than the control. If I wasn't doing the digi tests I would be 100% sure I had ovulated. Has anyone ever O'ed and yet not got a smiley face? Could maybe it be a surge but I haven't O'ed yet and I can expect it in a few days time?

DH is kinda over it this month and not too keen to keep trying. He made some comment about it shouldn't take so many attempts in a row and we should be able to pinpoint it more accurately. (I'm bloody trying!!) And we have been doing it daily for about 6 days now...too much longer and we are heading towards FR girl territory!!

I am going to my Dr next week and getting a script for Clomid....gonna tell him I have been trying for a year. See if that helps me O on time and a bit more predictably.

PoP, The cheapie OPKS have always been the best thing for me. When I try digitals they don't show until awhile afterwards! And I am talking days later for HPT digitals! I've never tried an expensive OPK.

I also got an almost positive OPK tonight! yay and I have TONS of pressure!!
We are going to be in the 2WW together it seems!

PoP, I've never used a digi for OPKs but going on the two line OPKs, surely you must have had a surge if they were positive? Plus you had all the other signs.

Do you have a doctor that will prescribe you Clomid? All the GPs I have ever seen won't prescribe it, they refer on to a ob/gynae or fertility specialist.

Pop i havent ever used the smiley tests your talking about but it sounds like they may not be as sensitive? Although you would expect the more expensive ones to work better. That is weird unless they turn positive on O day. Did you use them last cycle to compare what happened? I still think you have a great shot this time dont count yourself out yet you should see the temp rise any day now. So whats the deal with clomid, is that meant for women who dont ovulate? My friend is going to get on it soon she is in the 2ww atm but been trying for over a year now, her doctor told her the opks dont confirm O just the presence of LH and made her feel silly for relying on them.
