There is no point to this post, but i just have to vent and this is the only place i can do it.
Told DH about the positive OPK, and how we should try and DTD again tonight. Boy oh Boy was he pissy about it!!
I know that the whole DTD regimentally is hard for him, i get that, but i have gone to lots of efforts to make it as interesting and pleasurable for him as possible. Anyone would think i was asking him to pull teeth, all I'm asking for is another BD.
He could tell i wasn't pleased with his reaction so he goes off on one about how hard it is, and we have done it 6 times in 5 days and how difficult it is for him, and all i have to do is lie there blah blah...Im kinda hurt, because i havnt just been *lying there* i have made an effort, a lot of effort, and every single time he has made it feel like the worst chore in the world having to BD, poor him! But you know what - it aint all a bag of laughs for me either - i've been on the diet for 6 months, and yes its still a challenge. And i stick to it, but its hard, dam hard. For 5 cycles i have felt like a barren failure because i just can't get pregnant.
I guees we are both just at the end of our tether. DH has been great, he really has, but this month he is just over it, so over itMummy to DS10 who is the light of our world

Sooo sorry.
how awful. I lost count how many times we BD'd in a row. Hubby didn't mind it at all and only struggled a little a day he FR twice prior and had several ales at night before so he was a little tipsy. Would he rather just do it in a cup (less pressure?) and you immediately insert it??
I'm having my hubby take a photo of this morning's test and email me it at work... cannot concentrate at all!Last edited by suregena; June 15th, 2012 at 06:26 AM.

Suregena, when you get the test pic, post it, even if you can't see the lines. I can take it into photoshop and "tweak" it to see if anything shows up... I did that with a few of my really early test results.

Lassie, we were in a very similar place, except that my DH wasn't so much pissy as despondent. During our third cycle, he had some performance issues (I had him doing FR twice a day, so he got super worn out) and that totally got to his head. And of course the more he worried, the harder it was to perform.
Even into fourth cycle, when we decreased FR by 25 percent, even the first couple of times DTD were tricky (again, totally psychological). So I basically had to take over ... start things off orally and then have DTD be with me on top. The oral was partially to let him relax and help rev up Mr. Happy, but also because we dropped Sylk and I was going to need *something* to allow for reasonably comfortable entry (because if I showed any sign of discomfort, that's all it would have taken for Mr. Happy to leave the party!).
So I wonder if that would help? It would let your DH just "lay there" instead (ha!) and it would let you put on a bit more of a show, which might increase his feelings of goodwill. Men are more visual than we are, so seeing the lady up top can be provocative for them. And my understanding is that woman on top is quite a viable pink-sway position (here's hoping so, anyway!).
You've already gotten some great attempts in, which will help your chances of pg, while still doing lots of pink sway stuff. This could totally be your month!!!!
I can't remember -- are you temping so that you'll be able to confirm when O officially happens?

It's been two cycles and I still haven't gotten pregnant. I thought for sure I would be this last time because I thought I got the timing good, but I must have used too many swaying things. I stopped the diet because I thought I would have gotten pregnant (with my other two it was preggers at first try). It's soooo frustrating! I can't imagine how dificult it must be for those of you who have been at it even longer. I keep my fingers crossed for us all.
I wanted to try again this coming cycle but it is a boy month on the chinese calendar. My husband believes in this calendar because a lot of his female friends got girls during girl months. So I don't know if we should just skip this month or just go for it. I would definitely wait if I had the time (because of the boy month and falling off the diet), but I'm in a rush because of my age (I'm 40). Arggh, don't know what to do!

Haven't had a chance to catch up on post yet. I just called doc because HPTS are still negative and AF is one week late. I spotted 11 days ago. I called for something to start AF. I have NEVER EVER BEEN LATE EVER. The nurse practitioner said I could be pregnant, going for blood work in 5 minutes, she said they have had women throughout the pregnancy's that get negatvie HPTs. Really??? I still have no hope, but interesting!! Will know on Monday!

Heavenlee, I wouldn't worry about calendars at all. All you have to do is look at a local hospital's baby webpage and you'll see lots of boys and girls born every month. If it were as easy as "get pg this month, have this gender," nobody would have ever have to sway or have GD.
I would return to the diet ASAP. That's the thing that seems to sway the hardest. It's the other things that might be standing in the way of pg that I would consider dropping instead (maybe drop antihistamines OR RepHresh OR Sylk ... I'm not sure what you're actually incorporating into your sway, but those are standard early inclusions in a pink sway that people start dropping when they can't conceive).
Getting pg in a pink sway is more challenging ... but it also means you're suppressing fertility, which is what you want for a pink sway. It's tricky. I only just got my BFP a week and a half ago, on my fourth cycle trying. I got pg in my second cycle with both my kids.
Also, you do want to keep your age in mind. Crummy as it is, our fertility does change as we get older. So you don't want to waste too many months on things like Chinese calendar, only to find yourself unable to get pg at all. As Atomic says, you can't your desired gender if you can't get pg.
So, yep, I'd say get back on the diet, ignore the calendar, and consider what non-diet parts of your sway might be droppable. GL!!
