I have seen some nice lime greem/grey stuff in next and some brighter colours than the usual blue some really nice orangle like toms shoes, very cute.
Asda for boys was just all blue and literally must have been 75% girl stuff and 25% boy stuff, they had lovely colours for girls yellow, pink, purple, red white and blue, greens, oranges massive variety and all so cute. I could have bought loads!
Even the sleepsuit was a whole wall full and the last 2 rows where boys out of about 14 rows...argh! Really gonna have to start searching for some clothes for him.
I do have some in a suitcase from my last pregnancy but he was born in may so the newbaby stuff will not be suitable for this lil man due in November.

Yeah Mochagirl, I was in babies r us yesterday and my eye kept catching on cute boy stuff. I was like WTF? Why hadn't I noticed this with DS2? I looked over at the girl section, because obviously, she will need some clothes, and I kind of found myself intimated by all the ruffles and tutus!!! What is wrong with me? LOL this is what I wanted and I am getting it, but some of the girl clothes for babies are way too over the top for pratical use. I am just so practical I keep looking at those fluffly frilly outfits going she's gonna get so uncomfortable if she wore that, or that'd be really diffuclt to wash! I love sweet little girl clothes, which are cute and stylish but have some practicality built in. After all, she will still be a baby that will poop and puke, and some of these things are just not very reasonable!
Besides my inital shopping spree when I first found out, I'm watiing for my baby shower in August and then I'll do some last minute shopping of Fall stuff since I still haven't seen much long-sleeve out yet.

I have mostly hand-me downs so far for Sadie. My niece was born in November, so a lot of her clothes will be season appropriate. I bought a bunch of stuff when I first found out she was a girl because the winter stuff was still available on sale in some stores, but right now it's all sundresses, so I'll wait till August before buying more too.
And yes, some of the frilly, impractical stuff is very unappealing to me too. I want durable, bright coloured clothes, but those seem hard to find.

Thanks for the update on TTC5 HappyLea. What a stress for her and the family. The longer he can stay inside the better.
My PIL left yesterday but then my internet wouldn't work until this morning, so I have not been able to jump on here easily lately.
I hope you can find some lovely boys things to brighten your day HappyLea. They do always have such a massive selection for girls, though I am the same a Mocha and Auroara, the majority I don't even like. I try and hunt out nice things for my boys. It helps that DS1 loves red and DS2 loves orange, so they are not constantly in blue. For me, there is nothing sweeter than a baby (boy or girl) in white. It isn't practical when they are bigger but when they can't move they don't get that dirty!

I am also struggling to find some nice baby boys clothes. Since finding out we are having our first boy all i've wanted to do is shop, but I haven't found anything I like yet. I think i'll have to look around online to get some nice things. When I was pregnant with DD3 I always seen the most gorgeous little boys outfits, and now i'm having a little boy of my own there is nothing!!

It was a challenge for me to find boy clothes I liked for DS1, too! I guess I'm just picky, but I really don't care for the trademarked cartoon/movie characters or the typical manly/boyish stuff. I tried to just find a lot of dinosaur and monster things. I also liked green/aqua instead of blues and reds.
Having the same challenge for girl stuff. I really DO NOT like pastels, especially pink, and I struggle to find bright or deep colors. Even the baby blanket I'm knitting is a dark purple. And I'm totally going to knit a mermaid tail sleep sack!!

Yesterday was the kids first day of school holidays, so what did we do? Spent 5 hours at the hospital waiting for DS1 to have a laceration glued of course. What is it with boys and head wounds?! He came off second best to the coffee table and cut the skin between his eyes. A bit close to his left eye for my liking. And typically DH is only away for 1 night this week and it was last night, so I had to drag DS2 along as well. I ate dinner at 1am this morning! FX the rest of the holidays are uneventful.

Sounds alot like my DD2. Last week she had to get stitches in her chin after jumping off the lounge and caught the edge of the coffee table. She is 4 years old and this is her 3rd lot of stitches!! She has never even cried while getting them. Our doctor says she is the toughest kid he's ever seen!

I went to the drs today to get a mole checked out that is looking quite strange so i got a referal to a skin specialist. Anyway I thought I may as well get my BP checked while I was there as I hadnt seen my ob for a month and she is away and i dont see her until the 17th of july... anyway my bp was 160/110... The dr said it is very very high my bp 3 weeks ago was 128/85 ,,, I have an app on the 2nd with another gp that my ob had told me to see while she is away, The dr I saw today said it would be ok to wait until the 2nd to get it checked again.. I did have a bad headache today still sort of do. I had high BP with my first ds so looks like I am heading down that road again which sucks because I remember I felt like CRAP!

Pinkin - so sorry about the BP problems - that really sucks. I know if you're near the end of your pregnancy they induce you (they almost had to at 35 weeks with my twins when my BP spiked), but what do they do so early in your pregnancy? Do they medicate you? Do you have to have a special diet?
