Sonia2003. Thx you so much for your welcome and advice. Very interested to hear your PGD story. Would you mind sharing it- by private message if you would prefer. Dh still keen to go down this route. I would love to hear your journey, advice, opinions on it. Did you go to Thailand or us. I'm presuming it wasn't successful hence you starting to sway again. It would seem to me that although obviously no guarantees, with meticulous planning swaying has the same success rates as PGD- around 40-50pc. Just don't know what to do.

Hi, I don't mind sharing my story at all. It I can help anyone learn from my experience, I am happy to help! I cycled in the US and one thing I learned from PGD is that, yes gender is 99.9% guaranteed, but its the getting pregnant part that is the 30-50 percent. And even if your RE quotes you 80% chance of pregnancy, that means nothing, or if they say 10% chance, people still get pregnant. So one major thing I learned is that the percentages for a pregnancy from IVF definitely vary, and it was a year and 3 cycles later with no pregnancy so we are back to square 1 and back to our original plan of swaying.
If I had unlimited money, and could deal with the emotional roller coaster of it all, I would do it again, but it was definitely stressful and emotional, and I was telling my husband, we said 2 cycles, and thats it. We had 2 fresh cycles and 1 frozen transfer, and it was a lot emotionally for us both. Maybe you can read up on the HT forum as well, there is a LOT of info there, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to msg me

[QUOTE=Sonia2003;255064]
1) What foods/drinks did you have everyday or every week without fail?
2) What things did you elimiate or cut out from your diet?
3) About how much weight did you gain before attempt?
[QUOTE]
Hi Sonia,
I am still TTC and I am a veggie so no meat on my list.
1) Oats with whole milk and peanut butter (week mornings), Eggs - about 12 per week, Green Tea, coconut water, nuts & seeds, beans & lentils, tomatos and about 1/2 avocado everyday, Swapped lettuce for spinach. Cheese everyday different types (I love cheese), Pure organic yogurt (nothing added, just milk and culture) with fruit.
2)I cut out the sugar as much as possible. I also make everything from scratch, so no jars of sauces. And I buy organic where possible. However I do still have the occassional frozen pizza
3) I gained 5lb so far. I do think that the exercise is helping me not gain too much. I have been on the diet since June and am eating way more than I every did before

Thxs so much for being so upfront. I'm sorry you were unsuccessful. Yes that's exactly how I see it. Regardless of how easy some people find it to conceive naturally, PGD/ ivf is so completely different. But of course if you are successful in getting pregnant then gender is virtually guaranteed. I'm waiting for SART to get back to mr. They say 43% success rate. I want to know if it's 43% first cycle or over a number of cycles. What is the HT forum?? Thxs and all the luck in the world for yourvsway x

Sitting here at work drinking a mug of tea, 1 sugar and a bar of kinder bueno, as I am so tired I couldn't even look at healthy food never mind eating it. Hoping this is a good sign as I got over 8 hrs sleep last night
Will make up for it by having egg, cheese, tomato and avocado wrap for dinner, at least that is quick to make
