I keep having dreams that I go into preterm labor. I have no reason to think I would, but it scares me because my labors go so fast, that I worry I wouldn't make it in time to stop it. I'm just all around nervous this time, as it gets closer. If my water breaks at home I'm screwed. With my first, they broke my water at 5cm and 5 min later I was at a 9. Last time, my water broke in the hospital and he was ready to come out within about 5 minutes. And it was so fast that he had complications, so that freaks me out even more.
I understand your fears. My longest labor was 3 hrs 45 min. They brought me in to induce me with ds3 and I was at 5.5cm and had no idea. I couldn't feel any contractions until my back started hurting an hour later and they checked me and I was at 8cm. He was born very quickly after that and had a broken collarbone because he came out so fast. I am terrified I will go into labor at home and not make it to the hospital 30 minutes away. My doctor said he will induce at 39 weeks to avoid me going into labor but I worry that I won't make it that far because this is my fourth.

I'll be keeping up on the site and you spinning after this baby, especially since I plan to have one more!
About the CD'ing, I just kinda squish the diaper up so the poo rolls together, then dump it in the toilet. Whatever doesn't come off, goes in the washer. This has worked fine for us!
Oh wow Mommyof3boys! My last one was 4 hours... I had no clue I was as far as I was until I got to the room and was at 8 1/2. Not only am I scared to not make it in time, I'm terrified my husband won't be there! My mom will be here, but she'll have to keep the boys for me. I wish I didn't worry so much... Also, I just went to the bathroom (sorry for the tmi coming up...) and had some discharge that looked similar to when I lost my mucus plug last time. I hope it was nothing, and I have my next appt on Friday, so I'll ask then. Pregnancy is a wonderful/terrifying time!

My first was 6 hours, second was 4, so we cut a couple hours off the second one! My OB said the odds are pretty high of this one being even faster too.
