FF has totally confused me, they have given me cross hairs with a possible O on cd8 which I feel is wrong. My temps have been a little whacky this cycle (why this cycle of all cycles!?) my monitor is still on highs and I expect a peak tomorrow which would see O on cd14 but despite feeling this I have still been thrown by FF

True Blue, fertility friend was right the cycles before my attempt but wrong on the month of my attempt. It said I ovulated on CD13 and then changed it to CD18 after we had done our attempts and freaked me out. I did get ovulation pains and lots of watery CM on CD13 and Cinss assured me my body knew better and not to listen to FF.
Well her advice turned out to be right. I got a very faint BFP 10 or 11 days after the first date (there's no way I could have had a BFP 5DPO so it had to be the earlier date).
Watch your CM, be aware of any pains or twinges around your ovaries and go with your instinct. Timing is not going to make or break this - your diet is the main thing remember.
If that doesn't put your mind at ease and it's still not obvious when you ovulate you can always wait until next month...

After getting prego in November and basing my guess of my Ovulation date completely on secondary ovulation signs, CM, cervix, o pains, etc I almost think those are more reliable when you're paying close attention than FF or OPKs....just my experience.

The earliest i think ladies see a result is 8dpo, but they are extreemly rare and i would not recommend that early, 10dpo seems to be the most popular day for testing but still getting a false negative is pretty high, 14dpo should give you an accurate result, but if you are really unlucky like me it will be after AF is due.

Still none the wiser and still no peak on my monitor which has always happened by now we're sticking with every other day attempts because it was frequency and not timing we were relying on but without a peak we will miss our 3 attempts in 24 hours of O.

It is recommended that you dont stop before O. Most blue swayers aim for dtd every other day from AF then when you get a +opk dtd 3 times in 24 hours. But if you want to try something different its totally fine just try to get in a few good attempts in your fertile window. More sperm = more boys

Oh ok....we were dtd every other but I thought we had to stop and give it 4 days leading up to ovulation

You can do that if you want, but then you really have to know what day you will O.
