Just so curious, if happened to anyone or heard of it at all, that a very very girly nub at 12 weeks, long and flat, forked at the end and even pointing downwards a bit, that turned out to be a boy? Im diving myself crazy here lol, Just cant wait for my gender scan which is another 3-4 weeks. I didnt book it yet as not sure whats the best week to have it, when im exact 16 weeks or wait until im 18 weeks. Any advise and experience is much appreciated!! thanks ladies!! Im so happy I found this site!! Everyone is so nice and helpful!![]()

I know nothing about nubs and nub guessing. But I do know of one lady that this happened too. She was told girl at 16-18 weeks not really sure it was a couple years ago and she was delighted as she already had 2 boys and this was her last baby. She didn't find out she was having a boy until 34 weeks. But I am sure cases like this are really rare and your girly nub will stay girly
Where in cork did you find some one to do a gender scan at 16 weeks. I am in dublin but apart from asking my Ob for a guess the earliest I found gender scans in the dublin area were at 19 weeks. There is a place in belfast that do the scans at 16 weeks but I don't really feel like going up there at the min so we are waiting until the 20th Feb since DH missed my 14 week scan and I had promissed not to find out without himDDChristmas 2010

Thanks for your input Pearl.
Its just so hard to wait lol Yes normally they only do it from 19 weeks here too, but I found a Polish medical centre, where they give you their guess at 166 weeks but say that only about 80%. I went there with my 2 boys and they really good there, they do a full anomaly scan every time you go there, a good 20-30 mins scan. With my 1st son I was at 18 weeks and were told 100% boy, with 2nd son I went 16 weeks and were told 80% boy guess. And all this for €80!! So I was thinking to go at 16 weeks and ask for a potty shot picture too along with the guess
I think they have the same centre in Dublin too if you want to check out their home page medicus.ie

I've seen it happen a couple of times over the last 5 years so the odds are slim but they aren't non existent.
