Zoloft and vitex together?? Can anyone share their experience

I see a few people have taken Vitex while on Zoloft. I started too then had second thoughts. Was going to check with the pharmacist when I get my next script but in the meantime can anyone share their experience? Are there any serious side effects or reasons these 2 should not be combined?

Thanks so much wanting-a-girl!! I hadn't come across that site before. The first day I took the Zoloft with Vitex I had a bad headache but I don't know if that was a side effect of the Zoloft as I had just started it, or a side effect of combining the two. Anyone else take them together?

Thanks for that link wanting-a-girl very helpful.

My other concern is that vitex has caused some people's bipolar symptoms to flare up. So if you're taking Zoloft for depression or bipolar then the vitex may aggravate your condition.

I took both and never gave it a second thought...didnt seem to cause any problems. I'm on Zoloft for anxiety btw. Also I get a lot of headaches normally so I didn't notice if the combo increased them...

Thanks AS & BZ94. I'm on it for anxiety too. I'm not worried about decreasing the effect of the Zoloft. I'm more concerned about any other serious complications from combining them. I have had quite a few headaches too but I stopped the vitex in case & I still have them. I think it's the low blood sugar. I'm not used to getting through the day without a lot of snacking. I'm hoping my body adjusts. I'm sticking to 3 meals for now & occasionally a 4th with no snacking inbetween. I might try the Vitex again if you had no problems BZ94. Thanks again!
