I conceived my first two boys in the winter months and this boy in the summer. I must have enough vitamin D at all times or something!

That makes sense for me! I conceived DS in May, and I have seasonal affective disorder so as soon as the weather breaks around April or so I am out in the sun as much as possible to help me feel better. I bet my body was thrilled with the sunlight and vitamin D so that probably helped me to conceive a boy.

Interesting!!! I don't know how I was on Vit D when I conceived both of my boys, but I do know as of the past year, I was told I am Vit D deficient...and I'm trying to sway girl so here's hoping that is a good thing!

I believe it sways pink (the shortage, that is.). Vit. D raises T levels and most likely sways blue.

The calcium is very very very far from proven, and even if it does sway, we don't know if we WANT it to be well absorbed or just passing through our systems unabsorbed. So the Vit. D may not be a good idea for swaying even if calcium does sway pink.

If you legitimately need it for health, you should take it - but I would prob. take a lower dose and only every few days, not every day.

I got my last two boys taking 800-1200 IU Vit D and then my girl with NO Vit. D.

Aside from my boys where I was actually taking the Vit. D, with my 2nd son I conceived him in August (sometimes I get confused and say it was October but it was AUGUST lol) and had been in the sun a lot. I also used to drink a quart of milk every day back then. With DS 1, it was March but I was in college and walked everywhere, so I was out in the sun all winter long - walked 30 min to work and 30 min. back every day and then all around campus every day too. Also drank a lot of milk in those days!

Come to think of it, when the weather breaks, I tend to take lots of short walks everywhere, and find excuses to do so: trip to the bank, trip to the grocery store, park at the cheaper parking lot and walk farther to work, etc so lots of 20-30 minute walks for me during my day and often carrying a heavy backpack or bag. So there's yet another good blue sway tactic, lol!

I have conceived all of my kids in the summer months or right after (Nov, Aug, Sept, & Oct) with #2-4 I was out in the sun a lot! They are my boys, while with DD I was working all day and really didn't have a chance to be outside for a few months before I conceived. Will definitely avoid vit D supplements and the sun this time around!

Really now that I think about it, my walking (and I also had a heavy backpack) was low intensity exercise too so that would be 3 of 4 boys I was doing mod. exercise with weights involved...I thought it was just with 2 but the walking def. counts as mod. exercise with weights!

Funny how we do these inadvertent blue sways without even really realize.
