September 2013 babies!!

Ladies, we just sold our investment property! A little sad as it was the first house DH and I had, and it was so perfect for us when we bought it. Its a 2 min walk to one of the best beaches in Perth, and we had our first baby there. I have so many wonderful memories in the house, we had so much fun there. We've been in a much bigger house now for 4 yrs, and have been renting it out. Now we decided to put it on the market as its a great sellers market ATM and we want to do extensions and renovations to our current house...
Its plenty big enough at the moment, but need a new kitchen and floors etc and then we had the crazy (yet exciting) idea of building a second story. Its a big 1000sqm block in a great suburb, but a 30 yr old house which really needs work done to it.
We've slowly done some renos over the last 4 yrs but now hopefully we can do the rest in one hit!
WIll be horrid living here at the same time as the renos, but a few awful months will certainly be worth it!
Anyway, I guess its the pregnancy hormones making me feel all sentimental about it.... I thought I'd be more excited, but I feel a bit sad.... Anyway it is great news, I just need my heart to catch up with my head...

I work in Radiology - so absolutely know what Im looking at! And he knows I know! lol.... the one down side to working in the business - on the plus side, I had lots of scans at work in the first tri to put my mind at ease....

Aw, ok... So could you sneaky get a friend to scan you... Or is that a very naughty suggestion!?

Salsa - we are hoping that our investment property will complete its sale on Friday. It was also our first home together and where we brought home DS1 (also where he was conceived ) But, we've been in our bigger house for 3 years now, and have completely renovated it and added an extension. DS2 and this little one were concieved here and DS2 was born in our bedroom, so it'll be sad to see this house go eventually, but I'm already getting itchy feet. Hubby is currently going through interview stages for a job 3 hours away, and i so hope he gets it because we can afford a house double in size down there, which means this girl can have a proper nursery and not share a room.

hehe.... I dont think I can do that to him! Its very tempting but I wouldnt be able to keep it to myself.... I'll be fine, I'll stop obsessing soon and just get on with it!

DS3 just broke out into a rash all over his body after having 3 days of a fever. I think that means he had roseola, but I'm not sure because it happened right after getting shots, so I think it was a reaction to his shots. Either way he is still cranky and sick. I'm not sure I will be able to make it to my scan in 2 days if he doesn't get better by tomorrow. I don't want to ask my friend to watch him when he is sick (DS1 and DS2 are going to go to the scan with us), she has 2 little boys of her own that I don't want to expose. I think I am going to call the dr to see if it is a normal reaction to these specific shots. Ugh, last time I had a scan coming up, DS1 was throwing up the night before lol!

Thorz -- My DS1 had roseola last year. I was worried about the fever that lasted 3-4 days but then when I saw the rash, I knew what it was. If the fever is gone now, it could very well be roseola. The shots may just be coincidental. I don't know if they would cause such a prolonged fever either. Even if it was a reaction to the shots, it wouldn't make him contagious in any way. I do hope he feels better soon and that you get to go to your scan. I think it will work out!

My anatomy scan is this afternoon. Not too nervous yet but looking forward to seeing the little guy. I haven't felt much movement from him yet and I really hope he gets a clean bill of health.

What shot did he get? Ds1 and 2 both broke out after chicken pox and the 2nd mmr and I know I took ds1 to the hospital of his cause he had a fever and appeared to have chicken pox but the could never give me a real answer but it was days after the vaccine

He got his 3rd Hep B shot and a PVC13 shot. Im actually thinking its roseola and it just was poor timing after the shots. All my boys have had roseola before so I am pretty familiar with it. The only thing is I thought they could only get in once and this would be his 2nd bout with it. DS1 and DS3 also got a mild case of the chicken pox from the vaccine, their dr said it almost NEVER happens, but I don't buy that because 2 of the 3 of my boys got it. I'm sure he is fine and I'll still get to go to my scan. Roseola isn't contagious at this stage anyway.
