I have a question for you ladies -- Are any of your children just as hopeful as you for a specific gender?? My DS1 really wants a sister, but he's okay with another brother. He'll often say "I really hope we have a girl, but if God gives us a boy it'll be okay because that's what we're meant to have." DS2 is a different story though. He wants a girl and he doesn't care who knows, and there is no reasoning with him!!! I try to pump him up and talk about what it might be like to have a cool little brother (which is hard for me to fake that excitement, let me tell you), and he doesn't care!!! His response is always that he wants a sister. Nothing else will do. Last night my husband and I were the teachers in his class at church and we asked who would like to pray for our snack. He quickly volunteered, and then proceeded to pray for a sister!!! His exact words were "Please make sure you give my family a baby girl." I about fell out of my chair. I don't know what to say to him. I try my hardest to remain neutral but in my head I'm screaming "I feel the same way as you!!!!!" I can't actually say that though. The sadness I feel over the idea of having a boy is no longer about just me. Now I'm worried about how sad he's going to be. DS3 doesn't seem to care one way or the other, thank goodness. Are any of you having this problem?

I too looked at pictures for hours, finding pictures which I thought looked exactly like mine but were girls, and found just as many that looked the same and were boys so just went round in circle. I have 98% boy votes on it though. I decided to just accept it is a boy and if I get to my scan and its a girl then it will be a surprise but for now I'm thinking boy and atm feel ok with it.

My eldest wants a sister. My younger two switched back and forth for ages (we used to talk about having another 'one day' because they kept asking when I would 'grow another baby') but have now settled on a brother.

DS1 was so disappointed when DS3 was not the sister he was convinced he would have that I didn't want that again. It took us a week to get him to accept that we did actually see his willy and he was a boy. So I told him that a girl was nice but most likely we would get a boy. One of his friends at school now is the 2nd child of a 4 boy family and he seems to be convinced now the baby is a boy and ok with that.
They are coming up with names for him (Rabbit Face and Jabba the Hut so far) so I think they will be ok with a boy. They call the baby him and he.

My DD wants a sister badly!! She has 2 brothers and wishes everyday for a sister. She told me that I wish for a sister, but my wishes never come true. I feel so bad for her!! She keeps talking about what she will do with her little sister and how much she will love her!! I so hope that this is a little girl!!

I have also been nubsessing!!! I look through all the photos of confirmed girl and so many of them look similar to mine, but then I keep thinking that there is no way this is a girl!! I had a dream last night that we went for our gender scan and the tech said it is a boy and I said it can't be the nub was girly!! LOL!!! Not sure what to think!!! Would you mind looking at my nub shot??
I know the leg is in the way, but you can still see most of the nub!!

When I ask my dd what she wants she says little sister, but she is so small still so I dont know if she understands And also almost all of her cousins are girls and one of them is a baby so she says she wants a sister that is like her little cousin(that is soo cute)
The other day she said "I want a little brother" And then she was pretending being pregnant with her little brother by putting a ball under her t-shirt :-D
Im just so worry she will feel jelous and sad when the new baby arrives. How did you do when your first child had a sibling?

DS1 said this one was a girl from the beginning and DS2 keeps saying little brother. So it's split 50/50 with them.

DS1 adjusted really well when we brought DS2 home. He was a fantastic big brother from day one. DS1 and DS2 are three years apart in age. When we brought DS3 home, poor DS2 had a heck of a time!! He did not like his little brother and didn't want anything to do with him for the longest time. He was only two when DS3 was born though. Now they're best friends and couldn't live without each other!! DS1 will turn 9 a week or so after baby #4 comes, and then DS2 and DS3 will turn 6 and 4 just a couple months later in January. I'm hoping all will adjust well to the new baby!
