LOL, Meeks - I helped my dh move a massive sectional couch from our upstairs to our downstairs when I was pregnant with DS1. That was a bad idea.. the thing was so heavy. We still joke about how ridiculous it was that I did that! Glad to hear you felt a little squirm - I'm positive that was exactly what it was!

Meeks, I'm shocked they don't have a Doppler.
If you're interested, I bought one on ebay for like $60...best investment ever...totally giving me peace of mind.
I wouldn't worry about the trampoline either...I agree with the other ladies. I moved a dresser from upstairs to down...by myself when pregnant with one of the boys...I seriously don't even know how I did it...lol.Proud mom of 3 sweet boys...
and one BEAUTIFUL little girl!
(Thanks Atomic!)
Guess my nub? LOL...

I felt Movement at 14 weeks with 3.0. That's the earliest by far. I felt it at 19 weeks with DS1 and around 18 weeks with DS2. Although I think I am feeling it early bc things are definitely much thinner in the muscle area now. Lol!
So quick question? When you all find out the gender how do you intend to announce it? For DS2 we planned a gender party to announce it. We found out earlier in the day and then everyone came over to have a cupcake and see whether the inside was filled with blue or pink. It was a great way to tell everyone all at once and everyone was really excited since it was a party. Now this time if it is a boy again I am thinking of doing something like that again so I get it over with all at once and everyone will be smiling and happy and then go home. Really I am kind of at a loss at what to do this time. If its a boy I would rather deal with the comments all at once as opposed to telling everyone one at a time and hearing their comments over and over. I feel like that will hurt more than all at once. Does this make sense? How are you all going to tell your friends and family the gender?(2009)

We had decided either way that we would wait until the birth to tell people. It's exciting I think when it's a surprise, even if you secretly know.

bahahaha nesting does funny things doesn't it? I did this too, a number of times, moving furniture around bedrooms or upstairs because I felt the strong and urgent need to do it right then and there, not wait for DH to get home. Even early in the pregnancy!!
ps whoever was asking how early people got Braxton Hicks, I had one last night at 14 weeks after getting up to ds1. Not worried, I had them early with the boys too, its just odd feeling your bump go hard. But good too, as I felt it was very high as I suspected, so that explains the movement changing.
I totally brought a doppler last night on ebay! haha! $49. Bargain! Should get it within 2 weeks. Hoping they are a quick posting one, since its coming from Bejing! Some of those are super super quick, and others are ridiculously slow. They had good feedback so fx.DS1 2009, DS2 2011.

Well, I'm crap at keeping a secret, so although I would love to do what Tree is doing, I wont be able to! Thinking we might keep it to ourselves for a week or two, if I can, to process. Then we usually just very unceremoniously call the grandparents, then announce it on fb. I never got into the gender party, but now you mention it, maybe with this being our last, we should? Although if its a girl people will then think we did a big party for the girl and not the boys and then think we favour her or something... I dont know! I will wing it I think!

Hi ladies, back from our NT scan which went very well! The tech said everything looked perfect to her and we should get the blood results back within the week - thank God! Of course she told me that she wouldn't even venture a guess at gender because it is far too early to do so, and she also didn't send me home with any good nub shots. I am thinking it's a girl, though. I don't know why, just a feeling, heartbeat was 167 today, too again. I am trying to just be happy and excited...I do feel so blessed to be pregnant though in my heart of hearts I really wanted this baby to be a boy. Sigh.

Ooh, that is so tempting on one hand, because everyone's happy when the baby gets there! On the other hand, I just can't stomach the thought of hearing the gender comments the whole rest of the pregnancy, knowing it's a boy. As far as my family goes, we already told DH's, and they seem happy. His sister (his only sibling) has 2 girls, so there's at least some pink in the family. However, on my side, this will be the 10th grandchild, 9th boy. And the only girl came after 6 boys. So, that is why I chose to wait till I knew gender before telling my parents. They live across the country from me, so that made it easy. Although, we are still pretty close, and talk every week, so keeping it from them has been tough. Actually planning to tell them tonight. Will be interesting to hear their reaction! My sister and brother each have 3 and are done, so I think the fact that we even went for a fourth will be a big shock! But anyway...we'll see.
As far as local friends who already know I'm pg, not sure how I'm going to tell gender. They all know I was supposed to find out this week, and I've already told one. I think I'm going to delay sharing till they ask. That way I can get at least some of my "disappointment" (if you want to call it that...major understatement, obviously) out of my system.
Friends from back home and FB friends, I don't know. Not sure if I will announce on FB till he's born. We'll see. My close friends back home will see me in December at Christmas, so will probably call them all individually (or message them or something) soon. Maybe I'll get more positive reactions than I'm imagining, and maybe it'll help me feel better. But knowing me, I'll at least get one or two insensitive remarks that will only make me feel worse. We'll see.
