Hi everyone,
This website and your posts are all so helpful!
We're planning on TTC beginning in January - very end of the month based on my cycle. I've been doing a lot of reading on this site and started the LE diet last week. My estimate is that will give me about 5 weeks on the diet - not including the 2WW. I'm 5'6" and about 137, so I don't think I have a ton of weight to lose, but definitely want to be losing at the time we conceive. I know there are no guarantees we'll conceive on the first try, but do you think 5 weeks (or 7 including 2WW) is a good amount of time on the diet? We could TTC sooner than that, but I want to give myself more time on the diet. I'm afraid going much longer I'll lose too much weight or stop losing weight altogether. I'm a moderate exerciser, but want to kick this way up over the next month!
I'm 34. I have two boys and would be thrilled to add a little girl to complete our family. I'm trying to do everything the opposite of when I had my boys since this is definitely our last shot! I feel like using the information on here will at least give us a chance!
Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome!!
5 weeks would be minimum, would def. not want to see you TTC any sooner than that. Since you will be exercising (highly recommend) I would start off higher with cals and see how it goes - you can always cut back over time.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thanks atomic! I think we'll be right at the 5 week mark on the diet when we start TTC. I'm planning to use diet and exercise as my main sway techniques. My calorie intake has been pretty low lately, so I think I will up it for another week or so and then trim down as we get closer. Hopefully we'll have some luck in our first attempt! Will keep you posted! Thanks again!

I just wanted to say we'll be trying next cycle too (about the same time you'll be trying). Good luck!

Don't drop below LE Diet limits though!!! 1500-1800 cals for most people, 1200-1500 for people who are really petite or have lots of weight to spare and don't lose at 1500-1800 range. If you're exercising I would not go below 1500-1800 and you may want to start off doing 1800-2000 and then reduce if need be.

Calories
Ok, thanks! That helps! I'm having trouble staying within what I've read are the suggested nutrient ranges at the higher calorie intake, so I've been on the low side. I'm guessing I can go lower in calories closer to the 2-3 weeks out from TTC if I stop losing weight. Thanks again for your advice!

I bought a plan, but I'm going a bit hard core (IMO). I'm pretty fertile and I would be surprised with everything I do if I DON'T still get PG in the first two months. Out of my five PGs It only took #3 more then cycle to conceive.
I'm doing the non important most likely it doesn't really sway stuff with rose quartz, orange/ginger lotion from bath and body works for ions, a fan at night, humidifier at night, all for the ions.
I've been doing the LE diet for basically the past 1.5 years due to breastfeeding my son who has a ton of food intolerances. He seems to have been born a gluten free vegan. I drink diet coke, I'll be breastfeeding, trying my best to be more laid back and reduce stress by reading more books and doing more fun crafty things to take my mind off of anything that might be stressful... I have been taking my folic acid, I'm trying to get my cycle back onto the new moon, but if that doesn't work, then oh, well.
My LP is super short (probably from working night, possibly exacerbated as well by BFing), so I will be taking clomid for my LPD and for swaying. There's more, but I should probably stop discussing my plan. I don't think we're allowed to tell too much about it.
In the plan though we have specifics for/about DTD, how to reduce sperm count, what DH's going to do though he doesn't really know (hahahaha), other supplements, and more leading up to O and beyond. There's more too I'm sure but I can't even remember without frequently looking up my plan and its timeline. haha
If you haven't bought a plan yet, I definitely recommend it!Jamie

atomic- Yes. Looking back over my diet log, it's mostly fat and protein that I'm going over each day if I add more calories. I also tend to go high on sugar. I can't handle artificial sweeteners since they give me headaches, so I've been drinking tea, water, milk, coffee, cranberry juice and seltzer water.
I am still trying to eat a variety of fruits and veggies since I know this is meant to a low nutrient, not no nutrient, plan.
When do you think is the best time to really kick up the exercise level? It seems like a lot of people get worn out and end up dropping it, so I'm wondering if it's better to wait until 3-4 weeks out from TTC.
Again, thanks for any input. It's so appreciated!
