Mumto3boys- can I ask about your test? Do you think you could have contaminated it with male DNA?
I am nearly 12 weeks and also would love a girl my gender blood test came back as boy, I am praying its wrong. I did the test at 7 weeks from conception. Mine was an at home one with me pricking my finger, dropped the container a few times on the floor and didn't get that much blood. I am hoping my situation is the same as yours but also feel my dreams of a baby girl have been crushed. Got my 12 week on Monday.

I can say one thing, none of my boys made me feel so sick! I had strong nausea for 6 weeks straight and even though I am 16 weeks now, I still feel nausea some days, not just queasy but quite strong, the kind the makes you run for a place to vomit. I felt sick in my first pregnancy but it didn't last long and because I had my first at 15 (yes! I was a kid myself!) they say teenagers tend to have very bad nausea when they are pregnant, then my second and third, almost none, but this time, it's been the longest for nausea and sickness.

I am exactly the same!! Never throwing up - but nauseous as hell! Starting at 5 1/2 weeks. It was all day all night. I was literally walking around like a zombie for 3 weeks straight. Then it got slightly better but not much and it still is there and now I am 12 weeks! I mean even yesterday it began to hit me at noon and lasted all day. I even went to bed at 7pm because I couldn't take it anymore. And I had the worst headache again last night and this morning. I literally have no appetite - not one thing is really appealing to me. I am eating to stay alive but I can say I have not enjoyed one morsel of food in over 6 weeks now.
So different from my boys. Hardly ever nauseous and when I was - It was only cause I was hungry and once I ate I'd feel better. This time, once I eat it almost feels worse! And I would be able to eat sooo much with them. Now - a little food and I am full and feel sick. And the heavy food I craved, alfredo sauce and pasta, creamy soups, sandwich's; now -- the thought of eating meat or carb's is sickening to me. Even chicken soup. I am living on cottage cheese, yogurts, fruits and salads mostly.
If this isn't a girl - I was even telling my mom - I'll be shocked. My whole being, my entire gut screams GIRL. But my head tells me there is just no way and its going to be another boy.

Gpkm- can't wait for your scan! Mine is Tuesday and I am nervous as hell!
Good luck! And I have heard of those home blood tests being wrong a lot-- so don't give up hope yet.

The only problem is in the uk at my hospital they don't tell you the gender at 20 weeks and 12 weeks no way. Will be booking a gender scan at 14-16 weeks as I am desperate to know.
Pray forprincess- Do you think you will know on Tuesday or just guessing from the nub/skull theory's? Good luck for yours

I'll probably know -- at the very least have a really good guess.
Of course the pics show a lot! There is an ultrasound doc specialist who comes in at my 12 week and really analyzes everything.
My oldest had gastroschesis when he was born I'm I'm technically a "high risk" pregnancy. So they go over everything with a very fine tooth comb at 12 weeks. The doctor has always told me boy at 12 weeks (I've always asked and he's always been right). This time I am going to ask them to write it down for me.
Between what the doc's think and my pics I'm pretty positive that I'll know for 90%. Of course will not believe anything for sure til the potty shot at 18 weeks though.
For once in my life I just pray they think girl....

Hi All, I didn't realize there was a big thread.

I just wanted to add that I have no nausea this time round and with both girls I was very very sick 6 weeks-14 weeks. With this pg, I experience it maybe once a week and it is very mild and not uncomfortable. I find this SO weird! I never ever thought I could have an easy pregnancy, but there it is. I feel like this allows me to lean in the blue direction, but I know I can't be confident.

I'd be leaning pink too, prayforprincess. To have 3 pregnancies with no sicknesses, in a row, and all boy, and now experience MS. I am curious! I hope you have a super obvious nub. Girl nubs can be more ambiguous, meaning, the angle can be really tricky, but it sounds like your doctor is an experienced guesser.

Prayforprincess - I think you have a very good chance of having a girl! If I got really sick this time I would be feeling a lot better than I do now! I know every pregnancy is different, but I just seem to know so many people that got morning sickness or worse morning sickness with their girls!

Don't worry! A close friend just had a DD after 2DS with the exact same pregnancy symptoms-which were none! No sickness, or anything. Don't stress!

Welcome Spicy!! Sure hope you are right, this one has been all over the place, with similarities and differences. My boys know now and they keep saying baby sister, they ignore me when i say it could be a brother....hope their intuition is right!!

I have a feeling this might be your girl! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. x
