What do you all do to relax? I'm trying to stay calm and have more fun this month. Had a small tiff w my DH yesterday which didn't help, but it's been ok otherwise. I've watched a couple of funny shows on TV to enjoy a laugh. :-D

you guys, you don't NEED to try to stay calm or do anything to relax. You just need to avoid starting up big detail oriented projects and obsessing over swaying. I think y'all are putting too much emphasis on this calm/relax idea and missing the elephant in the room which is obsessing over swaying. Replacing obsessing over timing and pH levels with obsessing over "I must stay calm" - it's really the exact same thing, strugging for control over your universe.

And if I may add to that, I have been obsessing so much over OPK that I think I totally missed the 'slot' for this month....feeling quite upset with myself.
I tested yesterday but thought the test line was still a bit lighter than control and thought i would wait until today...Today it's even more faint and my CM is more creamy compared to last few days which suggests to me that its too late now...or isn't it? Shall we still BD or leave it till next month?
I can't believe it, I was so ready....well clearly not.... :-(

Sorry! :-) I guess it helps me stay grounded to seek out some extra laughs and R & R to keep my spirits up. Def did not mean to spread incorrect info on the need for relaxation though. Eep!

LaVieEnRose how frustrating, I feel your pain, thought the same had happened to me this month,so much so I forced dh one morning and the poor fella just couldn't, too much pressure, luckily I got my dark opk that night. I was devastated all day, so I know how you feel. If you have missed the surge, I'd buy loads of opks and test more frequently especially as the line starts to get a bit more colour to it. Hugs xx

Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Thank you Mrs_Incredible (but the way congrats on your BFP!!) and maidentomother.
Funny you should say that maidentomother....luckily, DH was home early today and he was very 'lucky' as when he arrived home, one son was packed to beavers, one son on Xbox and the baby playing with toys in his cot.
It wasn't romantic or terribly sexy but it did makes us giggle a lot to sneak quickly for a quickie lol. At least, there has been been one attempt this cycle which is better than none and made us feel young again
So
I feel so blessed to be part of this wonderful community - girls you are so supportive thank you xx

GL to all the ladies in the 2WW! I can't wait to join you

I am hopeless at this changing up routine to break a plateau! I succeeded at eating a few more calories yesterday, but today my DH finally convinced me to take a day off from the gym (I had gone 13 days in a row.) So, on my "day of rest," I got in half an hour of squatting and weeding my garden. Sigh. Going to up the calories again today and for a week and see if it helps.
Thanks for the reminder, atomic. Some of us Marthas are a bit hopeless in our micromanaging of our lives

We're dropping FR and the whitey tighties for DH but keeping Licorice Root.
I'm on a low fat, low protein, low cal, high carb vegetarian diet. I've been having nausea and mood swings so I had to start eating breakfast and a snack or two to keep from puking and or screaming at my family. LE was starting to wear on me pretty badly. Feeling better after switching that up. I'm at the point where I feel like having a girl would send me over the moon but I'll be excited to get pregnant whatever the sex. Vegetarian diets alone seem to sway girl according to a lot of studies and anecdotal evidence I've seen soo I feel pretty good about that.
I'm going to sew myself a cute skinny summer dress this month to try to jinx myself into getting pregnant this month. Lol

Haha! Atomic! I literally stress about being stressed too, so ridiculous! If you ladies want a place to organize relaxation I've found Happify.com to be really helpful. They give you exercises to think positive and relax and practice gratitude. It helps us Marthas learn not to stress.
