wp - fwiw I took a dollar tree test with fmu the day af was due and got a bfn and then got light a very clear bfp on a frer later that day.

elp - lots of people are bankrupted by that very scenario. Hospitals will work out payments with you but if you're stretched already it can really kill ya. My bil and sil have no insurance so they just do not go to the dr, they take the kids but they never go unless they absolutely have to. It's really sad, many americans haven't been to a dr in years.

Lola - sorry about the bfn hun but 10dpo there is definitely still hope! A good friend of mine had a home birth after a c-section (babe was transverse) and raved about the differences. She's done but said she's do the vbac again in a second!

I normally have AF come on 13dpo-evening or at least some spotting or cramping. Who knows? I have already been over on FF looking at pg charts that got a - at 14dpo....there's hundreds, so I guess we should both just wait it out. I just wish the symtoms would just go away, it would make it much easier to just go on with my day. I feel like my stomach is empty all the time. Just boiled some eggs to ease my cranky belly.

Thanks 3pnb for the info....I may have some hope.
    thank you GD

Yea, you are right about that, lots of women get them later. I just don't FEEL pg anymore, and I bet I'm out. I feel like being hopeful for myself with this cycle at this point is just, well, pointless. However.....3pnb, you will find this interesting also, purplepoet said on the August 2ww thread that her doc said many early bfps are a sign of multiples of pregnancies that aren't viable. I may test again in the morning, but if another stark white bfn, just going to wait for AF. WP, I normally get AF late late on 13dpo and the full bleed on 14, so I could that as my CD1 for the next cycle. Hmmm, well, you never know! And for you with so many symptoms (and clearly you are fertile, lady!), maybe you are just going to get a late one like 3 did this time around!

Ah, I would LOVE to have a homebirth! I would love to stick it to the US med system and have an unassisted one at that, just like our ancestors used to! But, that scenario is unlikely....more likely for the birth center (if they'd take me) or a very, um, sneaky homebirth.

Your right Lola, I keep trying to pretend I have no symtoms, so if I get another BFN I will be expecting it. I ask DH to pick up a test on his way home....typical DH answer "What kind?" me, "I have no idea....at cheap one would be good" DH, "Well, let's just do the wait until AF test, it's really cheap"
    thank you GD

WP and Lola. I'm bummed for you both and obviously hope that maybe just maybe BFP's are still on their way ... 10 dpo is definitely on the early side but I know you've gotten them that early before Lola.

ELP people frequently forgo preventive care due to lack of insurance; however if someone has an emergency condition (like your broken leg example) it will be treated... they aren't just going to be left to live with a broken leg. If it is a hospital that provides medicare services (the gov't program for those who qualify as low-income) the hospital is required by federal law to treat emergency situations even in uninsured with no ability to pay. That said, the hospital can still pursue payment from the patient after they have been treated... but they can't deny treatment. This only applies to emergency conditions though.

3pnb I think it is so neat that your friend will go to the us with you! Is this the one that had a baby girl not long ago?

Lola-10dpo us still early!!! FX for you and anyone else testing soon!!

I really wonder what the costs of vbac are compared to a section? I need to look that up for sure. I will definitely talk to my doc about this once I get my BFP. No sense in stressing about it now when I'm not pregnant yet lol! I worry too much! I truly believe everything will work itself out in the end. It always does. Truth be told though, I'm terrified at the thought of a vaginal birth!

Alexis a vbac will probably be less than half the cost of a section. You're only in the hospital for 2 days for most cases and that in and of itself decreases the cost dramatically. Especially if you have no interventions (epi, pitocin, etc) a natural vaginal birth is better.

Lola-Omgosh homebirth is amazing...amazing. The single best thing I've ever done in my life. I did Hypnobabies too and literally felt awesome the entire time. I labored intermittently for about 14 hours. I gave my 2 year old a bath and read her stories, closed her door and told everyone I needed to get into the birth pool. I went into the living room and had her sister 45 mins later. I was totally calm, it was surreal. It's tough to have homebirths here in NC, but you can find a provider if you do some digging.

Hugs for the BFNs gals...AF stay away!

Oh wow, B3, that is exactly what I'd love to do. I'll have to pick your brain about it more, especially the hypnobabies thing, if and when I get pg. What a great story, though! Did you have a midwife at your house?

Alexis, I have only had a medicated vaginal birth, but it was a piece of cake. I felt no pain, just a wonderful sensation of the baby coming out and just felt with it and powerful, like I did that, ya know? I would love to try a natural one, and I know it does hurt, but there are ways to work with/around the pain. I just didn't have enough gusto left after 14 hours of hard core labor....and my ex-dh (who was DH at the time) was SO unsupportive, he just wanted me to get it over with. He hated all the baby stuff so much.....so I think if I try it this time with my now amazing and supportive DH, I can do it. It's kind of like something for me to conquer, kwim? It will be my last, too, and as I get older (I'm 35 now), I find that the most amazing experiences in life are the ones that forced me to look inside and face a fear, things that made me take a stand for myself, and things that I didn't think I could do. You can do it, Alexis! I swear, I am not just saying this, any mom who has had both will tell you, vb is WAY better and is like half the price. I left the hospital about 24 hours exactly after I had DD2 and felt great. When I had DD1 with the section, I felt like a mac truck had run over my midsection and couldn't even stand up straight. I barely remember any of it from the morphine and all. And during my section, the cutting doc cut her cord when making the uterine incision and blood squirted everywhere. So, I'd rather have a nice vbac anyday than risk a section again....it is WAY riskier, for real!

ams, I'm sooooo sooooooo sorry to hear about your m/c. I've been reading a lot about thyroid causing conceiving and m/c issues and you might ask your Dr. to do a blood work up and check your thyroid/T3/T4 levels.
