Sounds like something fun to look forward to, Lace!
You ladies almost have me convinced I should start tracking cp. I've read about how to do it, I just can't get over the ick factor. If you've never done it before, when it the best time to do it first, in the 2ww or right after af?
Maiden, I'm sure you can find the right person. It's an odds game. Dating was hard since I tend to be so shy. I heard about the woman who challenged herself to go on 100 first dates, so I committed myself to initiate contact with at least 5 ppl per week with the online dating. If they wrote back, we chatted awhile via email then phone. If it went well, we'd try meeting in person. I think I only made it to 8 in-person dates, plus one who stood me up (said he couldn't find our meeting spot, ha! instant disqualification). And one of those ended up being dh. It was not love at first sight for either of us, but there's no doubt we're soulmates. It was sort of gradually revealed how very much we have in common on deeper levels and how we approach the world, stuff that you wouldn't grasp from a simple profile anyway. I encourage you to be open and go out there kissing frogs, so to speak! Even if he's not the one, you can learn more about what you do and don't want. That's how I got through dates I didn't like, I tried to always look at it as valuable anyway and figured I might as well find a way to have a good time. I ought to take my own advice and use that approach to bfn cycles, lol.

sage, the CP is the easiest to find when it's in its infertile state, which is low and firm. It can get harder to identify when it's softer since the cervix blends into the surrounding tissue, and if you're not sure what you're looking for it can be hard to identify. So my vote is for the week right after AF. For me in the 2WW even though I'm obviously infertile, my CP is soft and closed, so it can blend into the vaginal walls more.
Nothing icky about it! Besides, in TTC, there is no such thing, LOL. If you can insert a tampon you can handle this. Just make sure your nails are very short and and your hands are clean of course. The easiest is probably in the shower, though of course then it's hard to tell what the CM is like if you're standing in the shower.Me (38) and DH (38)

Do you guys find that your OPKs gradually get darker or they basically go from nothing to wham positive?! This is my first month using Wondfos so not sure what to expect.
And so I can stop obsessing over slow rises?! Haha. OPKs have gotten a lot lighter so I think it's still a week out. Which sucks since we'll be on vacation Thursday-Sunday next week and sharing a hotel room. [emoji15][emoji16] hopefully we can still sneak away if O hasn't come!

Thanks XX!
I'm swaying boy. Hope I did it right, I got pos OPK in the evening, couple of days ago, so we dtd that evening, next morning and next evening. Before the last evening attempt I had terrible cramping and stomach and back pain. I think it was ovulation or conception? Have no idea. I think it was enough, we dtd before every other day. Just paranoid if i had enough attempts for a boy, LOL

sage, I agree with Lace, start checking your cervix when AF ends. I don't find it gross at all but then my dad was an obgyn! Even just one cycle of checking your cervix daily will teach you a lot. Plus it's easier for those of us who haven't given birth. DEFINITELY keep your nails short, at least on one middle finger (I have small hands so it's the only finger that reaches when my cervix is high). When you check your cervix you will sometimes feel EWCM at the opening despite seeing none when you wipe, so that is helpful info too.
I totally agree about dating being an odds game (though I also believe strongly in fate), and I would be dating up a storm if it weren't for my physical limitations/where I live. Though I definitely already know EXACTLY what I like/want so I don't think I'd learn much more in that regard. I was pretty slutty in college and my 20s and I have always been very decisive.
Unfortunately I don't think we can learn much from BFN cycles since usually the reasons are beyond our control. It would be nice to know why exactly though.
Taytum, Wondfo OPKs almost always show progression for me but occasionally I have cycles where my OPK darkens out of the blue. Who will you be sharing the hotel room with? Like a suite with multiple bedrooms?
sc1411, welcome! How many DPO are you exactly? I agree the cramping etc is likely due to O, conception can't be felt. You definitely BDed enough for a boy, great job!
Ladies, I woke up this morning and my temp was 100.58! I checked twice! At first I thought it was from sleeping next to a spacs heater but it quickly became apparent that I am actually sick. Super congested, sore throat, headache, all over body aches plus obviously fever. I manually adjusted the temp but I know I can't really know what my temp would be. I didn't want to discard bc that could affect my cross hairs. Of course I get unreliable temps on 1 & 2DPO, the worst time ever! Plus I've had pretty strong R O pain today. So who knows when I Oed for sure. At least I BDed again, very happy about that now!
I haven't felt this sick since I had Lyme's the summer before last. Before then, I had the worst case of stomach flu right around O last time I got pregnant in Feb 2012. I'm hoping it will help me get pg again!
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period
