    exercise question

I am currently pre-TTC, but hoping to be TTC soon. I have 4 rooms and a basement stairwell (and possibly a basement... hubby and I haven't decided on that one) that need painted, and I'd love to have them done BEFORE I get pregnant again so I don't have to worry about doing it after (I have enough issues staying pregnant without adding paint fumes to the mix) or after the baby is, hopefully, born (who has the energy to paint with a newborn/baby??). If I have to rely on hubby doing it, it won't get done. Not that I can blame him... he works 6 days a week, @ 13-14 hours a week and who wants to spend their one day off painting? So is painting while swaying pink a good choice for exercise? Or since it isn't so much a cardio workout as it he!! on your muscles would it be more likely to sway blue?? Does anyone know?? TIA.

I'm a newbie but I don't think it's enough cardio. I don't count housework as cardio. I think you need a brisk walk at least.

Yes I agree with dreaming, atomic told me housework doesn't count as exercise (it's too hit and miss to count) and I personally wouldn't worry about it swaying either way, atomic wants swayers to live their lives as normal, do what you can and don't worry about the rest, if you need to get your house painted then paint it worrying about which way it sways will be more likely to sway blue than just doing it. Hope that helps.

It doesn't count for cardio but it will only help a pink sway were to add it TO cardio.

I do think you should go ahead with the project though because putting your life on hold for a sway never seems to work out.

Thanks atomic I loathe painting but I know it was a stressor when I was preg knowing things needed painted but being afraid to do it while preg. I was working on getting all the rooms painted when I got preg but only got to finish 3 (not including my room/nursery). I have now finished my room but still have a lot more to go and with the weather lately I haven't been able to get out to walk so I didn't know if I could get 2 birds with one stone. Glad to hear it will help my sway and not be counterproductive though!! Quick question though. I know I read it somewhere but can't remember where or what it said. I know I supposed to shoot for 60 mins, but how many days of the week? Everyday?

6-7 if you can, but we have had success with as little as 4. I would not risk 2-3 days as that could possibly build muscle.
