    DS#1 was conceived in November
    DS#2 in December
    DS#3 in September
    DD#1 in March

Thanks, that kind of backs up what I had been thinking may happen.

My first pregnancy (ended in miscarriage at 8weeks) was conceived mid summer from one attempt and I was really dieting at that point. I always wondered if that was a girl. Didn't help that my mother in law, recently said that it was probably a girl I lost and that some women can only sustain one gender of pregnancy (Load of crap I know!)

If it makes you feel any better our only girl so far was a loss, so you are definitely not alone. Thankfully, we had testing done so we know what happened makes it a teensy bit easier to swallow.

The seasonal effect is MINISCULE, whereas the diet and time on the diet are the biggest/most effective and essential sway factors. Exercise is next, then one attempt. Most other factors you can control are not worth thinking about let alone worrying over!

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

What an evil woman! I'm so sorry you have to endure that behaviour and from your own MIL no less. I look forward to you proving her wrong!

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead with the sway for Autumn again and just ensure that I do the rest of the elements to the best of my ability.

Most of what my mother in law says is nonsense so it didn't surprise me. She actually suffered really bad gender disappointment herself after 2 boys as she was told for health reasons not to have any more. I'm guessing she has convinced herself of this to make herself feel better.

I answered the season question in the other thread.

It's always good to remember that much of what people say is from their own biases and hurts done over the course of a lifetime. :/
