Hiya,
Not been on this thread for ages, it's great to hear how well everyone is doing. I sometimes feel I am now so used to the diet that I am worried I am not doing it strongly enough! I stick to the limits using fitness pal app and don't eat any meat, but feel that I am eating some foods that other people avoid eating e.g chick peas!
Do you think that as long as you are with in the daily allowance of calories and fat etc, this is ok?
Also, as previously mentioned, my sister in law was finding out her baby gender (she has one boy) she is having another boy! I was positive it would be a girl, she was doing a lot of swaying accidentally from what I could see!
But another boy it is her for her. She insists she is delighted but, I can see through it (turns out she was told girl at 12week scan and had girl name picked )
I am not ttc until November, so good luck to everyone in their September attempts!!![]()

With my second son i didnt have a strong GD but this time around i want a girl so bad. I m going to bd in three weeks and every night i think of dropping the idea and be happy with two coz i m scared
I m confused too. I mc in march and it was a boy too. We dtd only once after 10 days abstaince. I m not sure what should i do.
I m dieting but i m underweight and couldnt loose more. 110 lbs is my weight
But i dont understand le diet as well completely

Atomic told me that it's the limits that matter, not the foods. For example, I eat meat every day but stay within the limits. Other girls are vegetarian. There are NO forbidden foods on LE. Some foods are harder to keep in the limits, so most people avoid them, but that doesn't mean you can't have them if you can make them work!

Girls can you please tell me if this sounds ok to you? I'm just starting out on my LE diet but doing the PCOS one to try and minimise testosterone ready for a possible sway attempt from December...
So today I have:
- had a white coffee with half a sweetener; skipped breakfast (waited 16 hours from last meal till lunch)
- lunch: whole grain rice with black quinoa and a nectarine
- dinner: 4 sesame rye crackers with a lick of butter, 100g light mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, red pepper, cucumber, red grapes, kiwi, blueberries and some honey Greek yogurt.
This totals around 1200 kcals and I'm off to the gym tonight too so will probably have a little something after that, maybe a protein shake if my limits allow?!
What are your thoughts?? Does this sound right or am I way off??
Thank you!!x

Thanks for that! I've realised now that it's not an exact science now and not reliable for some! Especially since I'm going to be taking clomid which apparently can mess with them anyway. I will still keep track but going for E4D so hopefully that covers all the bases x
I *should* be doing my first attempt in 3 weeks too! Depends on AF.
Nobody I know has had 3 boys in a row...but has had girls. And if I concieve boy 4 then I will be an anomaly within my group as no one I know has had that many kids of the same sex. I'm actually nervous about that.. The pressure is on lol
Good luck!! X(16)

Hiya I'm not sure and hopefully someone whose on LE can chime in (I'm on PCOS but eat more cals and have lost weight) but I don't think that's enough calories? I think it's around 1500 unless you have loads of weight to spare and that you're supposed to eat back the exercise calories? As far as I can gather, it's not a starvation diet per se but the actual diet content that sways...I could be wrong tho

I just joined, I totally in the same boat! I have a 2 years old son and I am 36 already so I can probably only conceive one more! I am praying for a girl, and I started LE diet for about 2 months now! It's so hard! I have clomid but too scared to take it! I am taking calcium, mag, low sodium and pottasium! I drink coffee and lots of crystal lite, we dropped the cut off dates since we couldn't conceive! We are going to do one attempt only and just use vinegar duche! I am so nervous! Are you doing the LE diet strictly? Sooooo hard!

3sacharm that sounds on the low side of calories to me? Well it would be too low for me, but as far as I understand the diet it's LE for you, whatever that's is, so if you are lowering everything in comparison to what you normally eat that's a good thing. It's not so much about what you are eating as keeping it to 2-3 meals so keeping your blood sugar low by not snacking and leaving big gaps between meals and only eating when you feel hungry (which is all the time for me!!!) The main things to lower seem to be protein and fat, which is why a vegetarian diet is suggested but you can still eat meat if it's within the daily limits. I'm not very good at working out the content of my meals so just trying to stick to the principles and eat smaller portions. I've almost cut out meat completely and try to steer clear of nutrient rich foods, like spinach, eggs and avocados etc. I might be wrong but I'm looking at the first couple of months on the diet as a way to lose weight, get rid of some fat, and then the month leading up to BD and just after I will be stricter and really try and keep blood sugars as low as possible.
Hi wantmyprincess, welcome! Atomic doesn't really recommend magnesium or calcium, what does everyone else think? I'm on peppermint tea and vitex, and folic acid. DH is on root licorice and cranberry, plus he has upped his soya intake. I read that using a gel like rePHresh is better than a douche as it lasts for a few days and keeps you PH level at 4.5 all this time, whereas a douche can be washed out by CM and semen. What is everyone else thinking about this?
I now have lavender everywhere in my house, candles, hanwash, bath oils, body lotion, shower gel, washing powder etc etc!! I also just bought a lovely Rose quartz necklace, the lady in the shop said its a stone with good energy and is apparently good for your sex life!!!! Probably nothing in all this but it can do not harm! Is anyone else doing anything like this?3 beautiful boys, longing for a sister for them to complete our family

So I'm just back from a night out where one friend (who has all girls) said to another, who is expecting a baby (and also has all girls), that she would love to look after the baby when its born, unless it's a boy because she isn't really 'drawn' to baby boys, but baby girls she just wants to 'eat up'. And she knows that I'm planning to try for another baby. When people make comments like this it really upsets me because 1. I feel it totally undervalues my beautiful boys who I wouldn't swap for the world and who were the most gorgeous babies, just as gorgeous as any baby girl, and 2. Reinforces my belief that every woman actually wants a daughter deep down, and if I have another boy everyone will be feeling sorry for me. They will whisper "that's the poor woman who has 4 boys, can you imagine?!". And then another friend who has a boy and a girl said 'how do you cope with 3 boys?!' And went on to say how awful her boy was and how grateful she was to have a daughter who was so lovely and basically made everything ok. 'I'm so glad I have her, she is so gentle and lovely etc etc'. I just want to curl up and cry!!!!!!!!! My boys are loud and boisterous but they are also gentle and kind and so so loving, I wouldn't wish them away, my worst nightmare is anything happening to them and I have a huge guilt about how badly I want a daughter, but it's hard not to feel this way when it seems that everyone around you is reinforcing these feelings!!!!

Sorry I know I don't belong in this thread but I have to say that your friends sound like idiots to me,Ttc2015. Seriously- not drawn to boy babies?! I can honestly say that I wanted a boy first, didn't care at all the 2nd go around, and this time around would only prefer a girl so I can experience both but would also love another boy.
You need to start spending time with women who love both boys and girls! I find that attitude very unhealthy and am glad I have never met someone like that in real life. I just want you to know that there are lots and lots of people who don't feel that way! If you do end up having a 4th boy you will be blessedAlthough of course I hope everyone gets their dream gender.
Enjoying life with my crazy little DS1 2010:and DS2 2012:
