6 hours from first contraction to holding my little guy [emoji4][emoji170]! I experienced tons of lightening crotch too and Braxton hicks galore before he joined us! He needed coaxing though. At 41w1d I had my membranes swept at 9:00am and had my first contraction at 9:00pm that same night!
I can't wait to see pics of your little man [emoji8][emoji170]!!

XXforhubby, did I miss a post where you decided to not go for #4? What made you change your mind?
I've keep going back and forth with trying for a 4th, but now hubby is set on it. Regardless if it's another boy or a girl, he wants a 4th in order to avoid having a middle child or one that is always left out. I agree, but I think I need to see how having 3 feels. I get GD too sometimes, but I'm starting to realize that it's mostly caused by other people's comments. I don't see anything wrong with three of a kind, but everyone assumes we are disappointed. Sure I'd love a girl, but man, three boys is pretty awesome. I feel lucky that they get to have two same-sex siblings. Sometimes it makes me wish for a 4 boy. But really, I'm gonna be selfish and hope for a girl so I can buy pink stuff lol. At least I now know that if the 4th is a boy I'll still be happy about it.'12

Long story short, my DH is leaning towards being done. I'm planning on doing a stealth sway just in case and see what happens. I'm pretty good at convincing DH [emoji4]. I'm ok with our three boys, but I don't want to wake up 5 years from now regretting not trying one more time. My sway will have to be über undercover, but I know my DH's heart longs for a girl. He's just trying to convince himself he's done. He said he doesn't want to get his hopes up one more time [emoji20]. So that's where I'm at. I'm also keeping in mind I may not get pregnant since I'll be nursing a young baby still.

I often think of the "5 years from now" scenario. I'm hoping swaying and odds will be in favor of having a girl, but I'm also preparing myself to hear boy. I know way too many people with 4 of a kind, so I'm thinking it's not as uncommon as they seem. But still, I'd never stop wondering "what if" if I didn't try. I hope nursing helps your sway, I'll be right there with you.

My dd and this one will be 16 years apart
my baby bro and I are 13 years apart and really don't know him well since I moved out of the state at 22. It's going to be hard but I want them to be close. Darn body just wouldn't cooperate all these years especially w ovulation taking 2 years to come back the last two times. Wish I could have Irish twin girls.

Hugs Atsaukina.i think it's very possible your DD1 will assume a strong maternal role and that could bond thrm vety tightly.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

That is tough Atsaukina. My brother and I are about 5 years apart and we were close growing up, but once I hit teens we fell apart. But, that could have been because we were opposites too. I work with a lot of teenage girls who have young siblings and they actually do take on a maternal instinct and love their little sisters. I hope you're situation is the same!

Atsaukina my two oldest any youngest sister are 23/22 years apart. My oldest nephew is only 3 years younger then my youngest sister. And my older sisters did take on a more maternal roll with my lil sis up until her mid-teens but now that has developed into a more typical sister relationship. I think families with big age gaps will have that kind of changing relationship. I am sure they will be fine and bond in a unique way that suits them.
