I hope my wish come true !
Atomic, do you know something about Humanes Choriongonadotropin in early pregnancy?
I have read time ago that a high level of Humanes Choriongonadotropin could indicates a pregnancy with a girl and contrary low Humanes Choriongonadotropin indicates a pregnancy with a boy.
I dont know where I read it, but I think it was a study about it ?
Do you know something about this? Or does it maybe only indicates between the pregnancys of one individuel women? Because my pregnancy results from an stimulated cycle, I know my Humanes Choriongonadotropin at ovulation + 14 days. The pregnancy with my son results as well from an stimulated cycle, so I know the Humanes Choriongonadotropin at ovulation + 14 days too. There it was 225 and now it is 111...Does this indicate something?
Results 11 to 20 of 22

it is an average, meaning that on average girl pregnancies make slightly more HCG. But it's like height - on average men are taller than women, but there are plenty of short men and tall women. You can't tell anything just by virtue of someone's height - it's like saying, someone is 5 ft. 8 or 172 cm - that person could be a man or a woman.
The amount of HCG varies by woman and with each individual pregnancy. It depends on what your level was to begin with. A normal non-pregnant woman can have an HCG level of 0-5. And HCG doubles over time with pregnancy. So a woman with 0 HCG to start with would have a different, lower level (because hers would go 0, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and so on) of HCG than a woman who started with a HCG of 5 (because hers would go 5, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160 and she'd have 10 times as high of levels on the same point in pregnancy. Both women are equally pregnant, both pregnancies are equally successful, and once the doubling levels off, the woman who starts off with 0 may even go onto have even higher levels than the woman who starts off with 5, but in those early days the thing that matters is what level you started with.!!! Hello,
I want to update my pregnancy: I was all the time sooo nervous, because I was sooo sure, that it will be my second boy.
Before I get pregnant I was sooo anxious and nervous and I read here, that this type of women mostly have boys..
Besides my hcg level was lower than it was in my last pregnancy with my son and I have no sickness, like in my first pregnancy. All this facts make me think it cant be a girl !
But now I konw definitly it is a girl ! I m over the moon and cant believe it ! We did a Harmony test and found out that it is with 99 % a baby girl.

Congratulations! Did you do diet/exercise? Please, please post your sway. And I personally think your BD counts as one attempt, those later 2 attempts have basically no sperm.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after removìng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Thank you very much !!
I was really soo so sure it is a boy! The stuff with anxious person type and that hcg is higher with girl pregnancy makes me thinking that its going to be a boy.
maidentomother: No I was couchpotato because I hate exercise. I did a light diet, because I m already underweight. The most different thing was, that I ate gum sweets after lunch and dinner and no snacking.

Great news Pinkdreamie!! Please do an add your sway to let everone know what you did for your sway even if it was only 1 or 2 things it is really helpful.
Many of us, myself included, found less sickness with our daughters than some of our boys. I had very little sickness with my daughter and my second son, my other three sons I was very sick!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I hadnt sickness with my son and now its the same - no sickness. But I was so sure it must be different with other gender. But now I know that symptoms don´t mean anything
