PLEASE PLEASE do NOT NOT NOT take EPO, l-arganine, cassava, or royal jelly when nursing. It is NOT worth the risk of the unknowns. EPO is a blood thinner that may make your baby have bleeding and bruising issues. EPO and l-arganine affect hormone levels, royal jelly has actually KILLED people and may make both you and your baby more sensitive to bee and insect allergies for the rest of your lives. Cassava is just too big an unknown (people eat it in their diets but you are talking about taking medicinal quantities of it, even normal things can be harmful if you eat too much.) Additionally, they may make it take way longer for yoru cycle to come back so you're doing the whole program more harm than good.

What I would also do is get yourself some Preseed or sperm friendly lube like that and have unprotected sex every 2-4 days because this means you'll be ready with some swimmers on hand to catch the egg whenever they show up.
Oh my goodness....I wish I would have asked for advice before purchasing all my supplements [emoji15] I did take one EPO!
(On another forum I was encouraged to take them.)
I will definitely follow your advice and hold back on the risky ones.
I will take the folic acid and eat the dairy products! Maybe ill do only that and just start trying to conceive. The companies selling Cassava claim that its safe to take while breastfeeding but now I'm having reservations. (I had ordered a huge supply of it) [emoji58]
I am 30 and have had two children very close in age. Baby is 9 months. No cycle.
I will come back and update on what happens....

I've conceived while using Clomid for a sway and also while breastfeeding round the clock and got singletons both times - babies number three and four. I think it's definitely down to genetics and pot luck.

Three beautiful boys and my longed-for DD due in June 2016!

    Congratulations on your DD!!! [emoji4]
Yes, you are probably right it is mostly luck. That's what I'm gathering! I think the thing that is making the most sense is the increased folic acid and nutrition used to sustain the life of twins should they happen to be conceived.

Yikes, so are you sort of recommending against bee pollen/royal jelly in general now? I saw that it had a pretty high success rate for swaying blue

What are your thoughts on EPO soap? I saw a bar of it at a natural food store and was curious if that'd be something to include without going full supplemental (and I imagine making sure is well cleaned off nipples before breastfeeding!)

I have always recommended against royal jelly and bee pollen. Some people use it, I don't recommend it and never have.

EPO soap is fine. It doesn't do anything for swaying tho.

Well, some people don't care about safety that much. But all I can say is that I personally would not use those things when nursing, and they do all mess up your cycles hugely. I never ever use L-arginine for women because it messes up ovulation so much!!!

They say cassava is safe because people eat it as FOOD. But that doesn't mean that you can then ingest medicinal quantities of the stuff and have it have no ill effects. Here is a cut and paste from an expert in herbs:

Cassava is likely safe in pregnant and breastfeeding women who are not allergic and who take it in amounts that are generally found in foods. Levels higher than those normally found in the diet are not recommended due to the potentially toxic levels of cyanic glycosides. Cassava also contains goitrogens, which may cause congenital hypothyroidism and may be passed to babies during breastfeeding. Additionally, pregnancy may worsen a woman's preexisting iodine deficiency. Exposure to the thiocyanate from cassava may affect thyroid hormones and lead to changes in the baby's brain structure, which could possibly cause autism, according to one study. More research is needed.

False unicorn root and CoQ10 are okay when breastfeeding though?

Thank you! I could not find very much (legitimate) about the Cassava. The last thing I want to do is mess up my cycle or cause an issue for the slight chance of a twin pregnancy. I'll just save them until after I wean, if I haven't conceived by then. Its only a few months away. I won't double my doses either. [emoji10] would it be safest to take it before conception and then stop once BFP? Will it help with hyperovulation at all?
