Certain REACTIONS to psychological stress, i.e. coping mechanisms based on control, seem to sway blue. Physical stress can sway either way as well depending on how your body responds. No type of stress inherently sways either way, to my knowledge.

I was speaking generally about BFing, of course. Thank you for pointing out that not everyone does/can.

I'm sorry to hear you had such a rough recovery. But I do hope it sways pink a bunch for you, at least.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Don't know if hyperthyroidism could sway either way? Probably not x

I haven't breastfed my son, I tried but we had to move onto formula on only his second day. But I know breastfeeding can sway pink x

Stress doesn't sway blue, it sways pink and has been shown to in studies.

Being a control freak micromanager obsessing over every detail (ie largely self-induced stress that comes from wanting to control every element of your environment) sways blue.

Do you have more reading you could recommend on this? IS that why statistically more people end up with GB/BGs?

No, it's just logic - after you have a baby your body and lifestyle is so dramatically different it stands to reason that is having an effect. I remember when my first son was born it was like I had been hit by a bus I didn't have time to eat and didn't sleep and my boobs were the size of watermelons and this went on for months LOL

I certainly do think it could be a large part of why the majority of people seem to just get handed the BG/GB combo without any thought or concern whatsoever.
