Ewww I couldn't cope with lice or bugs! And like you I'm protective of newborns. What I let my 2 year old touch is different to what I let my 2 day old touch. It just makes me think of one of my best friends. We are so different but I love her to bits. She got a bottle of an Aristotle cleaner and sprayed her whole aecond hand pram whereas I am more worried about the chemicals in the spray, she is more worried about the bacteria in the fabric.

Lol Bella funny you mention being more worried about the chemicals than the germs...I'm the same way. I like all natural as often as possible. My oldest was just really sick and I've never used bleach and lysol spray much but in order to clean everything the right way I went to town and it grossed me out! But actual sick germs terrify me because I don't have time to be sick but my kids get dirty in the mud and play outside until they're filthy- to me that's different than being "germy"..I just don't like anyone being sick. That being said this was the first time she's ever had any kind of tummy bug and in fact has never been seriously sick (except for a case of hand foot and mouth that went around daycare yuck) so I guess I should count my blessings. But like you I'm down with the used stuff too- none of it bothers me so maybe I'm not as much as a germaphobe as I claim to be lol!

So sorry, my baby! GD is the worst. I swayed girl with my third and had major GD when I found out he was a boy. Had a hard labor as well, so between the two it took me awhile to bond with him. But he's the light of my life now. Snuggliest kid ever, and I call him my happy place. So, yes, we totally understand. Hugs!!

Oh, I'm all about used stuff when we can too. Luckily my sis-in-law has an almost two year old girl, so I'm looking forward to lots of hand me downs from her. Funny, I'm probably more nit picky about things like new clothes and blankets than anything. I guess I see what icky thing my kids put their clothes through and my imagination runs wild with what things could have happened to the hand me downs. lol! Stroller is really the biggie I want new this time, though. I know we'll be using it daily for a few years, so that's the one thing I'll invest in.

I'm going to lose my mind! I have not gotten more than 4 hours of sleep at night in nearly two months. I have a list of stuff that needs to get done before the twins are here, none of which can get done with my kids running around under foot. Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays my two oldest have school and the two youngest sleep until 11:00. That means those mornings I can get extra rest and/or work on the things I need to. They are also days I can make appointments and do some errands. Well, DS2 is allegedly sick today, according to DH, and he stayed home. So far he's dumped a 3 qt jug of Crystal Light all over the kitchen floor, smeared peanut butter on everything, eaten my last popcicle, and not only woke up the other two kids but got them out of their room. Grrrrrr!!!!!! None of the embroidery that needs to be done can be today. I can't cut out fabric for DD's leotards. I had a couple things planned and scheduled for this afternoon, but DH informed me yesterday that he made an appointment for someone to come spray for ants inside today between 12-4 and I have to be home. I had to cancel my plans again. I am so exhausted, achy, stressed out, and overall fed up with everything. I get no help and keep having to do more and more beyond my usual stuff lately. I worry I'm going to have the twins super early because of it. My doctor keeps telling me I need to be taking it easy, but that's just not possible. Not oniy do I have my own household to deal with, but also my mom needs a lot of help still because of her knee replacement. And then there's DH who calls and keeps asking me to do things for him, find things, etc. I just can't do it and his family keeps making rude comments all the time about how lazy I am if I skip cooking a meal and make easy stuff like chicken nuggets for the kids or if I don't have all the toys picked up every day. Apparently I'm expected to be a robit or something because I'm not allowed to have a break or rest or tend to my own needs for anything. It's always a criticism that I'm being selfish and/or lazy.

I wish! I just can't though. My mom's bunnies need to be cleaned and fed daily, my mom needs her ice machine refilled daily, various other stuff she can't do yet, etc. Then there is a matter of having the other 4 kids watched. DH runs a business that's open 7 days a week and is running all over the place or on the phone dealing with things. My mom can't babysit since she can't drive or handle herself yet. MIL is less than helpful and yells at the kids all day and changes all the house rules on them and they are upset and acting out because of it. It's a disaster all around. LOL!
Even if I managed to leave, there's no way I'd be able to take my sewing machine, embroidery machine, and serger with me, not to mention the supplies and projects. My embroidery machine, even without stand, is huge and weighs like 50 lb. LOL
I think at this point I'd settle for crying in the tub in a totally empty, quiet house for a few hours.DH (43), DW (40)

Oh BG! I want to give them all a big smack for you. They have no idea do they. How dare they criticize you for not getting everything done. I would be telling them all to back the fuck up if they want to continue to be welcome in your home. It's so not ok, especially when your carrying not one but two babies. Hugs mamma. Don't you let them be horrible to you. They will treat you how they are allowed to treat you, so start saying "that's not ok" when they are being arseholes.
