So we can do the PCOS diet even if we don't have PCOS? Lol.

Yep. If you are not losing on the traditional LE diet, the alternate diets help. Odds are, you may be insulin resistant and thus having trouble losing eating empty carbs.

Only thing is...I was reading that the PCOS diet is better for people to eat *some* meat and I am a vegetarian for moral reasons, so not sure how well that would work out for me seeing as I wouldn't be eating meat at all. Sigh.

You don't have to eat the meat. You can do eggs and fish instead [emoji6]

It's more about not eating empty, or white carbs, and instead eating whole grains. The protein limits raise to 50-60g and fat increases to 40-60g.

Gotcha!! Some people say meat and mean beef and poultry. So do you not eat eggs then?

I still think you might benefit quite a bit switching from empty carbs to whole grains and the upper limits of protein and fat- 50-60g and 40-60g respectively. I don't think it matters much where the extra protein comes from. I do think that the purpose of meat in the alternative diets is to help balance hormone production. Eggs should be fine in this case.

Hopefully this switch can help you start to lose weight again!

How many of you in this thread are on PCOS diet and how many are on normal LE diet? What is the biggest difference between normal and PCOS-diet beside the higher protein and fat-limits?
I feel like my body is doing better with whole grain, eggs and healthy food than empty carbs and sugar. So I prefer the PCOS-version, but I don't have PCOS, so can I still do it? All the sugar makes my body sour and I get easily addicted. Just curious to hear what you others are doing.

Thank you everyone in this site and in particular Atomic for amazing support during my sway. I am for ever grateful.
