what makes me worry about eod is if the boy sperms are still alive or strong enough to break through the egg.

For example, if we dtd on cd15 night, and let's say O happens on cd17 day. So we would only have the O-2 sperms inside waiting, and by the time we dtd on cd17 night, it would be too late already.

In this scenario you dtd cd15 and oed cd17. So realistically the sperm is going to be approximately 30-48 hours old. Take into account that sperm needs approx 6-12 hours to capacitate to even be able to penetrate the egg then that really only makes them 24-42 hours old. Make sense? This is why is commonly said that a 2-o attempt has better conception odds than a 1-o attempt

Lola im cd5 too. DH still isn't on the bandwagon for trying yet. Though when im fertile i tend to get a little randy and turn into a minx so DH may not be safe and my 'no attempts' til July could be out the window 😂😂

Exactly my thought Shinay. This is what worries the crap out of me. I just don't feel bold enough to try eod but what Pbn wrote kind of opened my blocked mind a little bit more.
