I forgot to mention I just bought my first baby thing this morning - 3 new cloth diapers! They were on one of those baby bargain email sites for only $6.95 each, and I couldn't resist since they were a style I prefer (snapping pocket diapers), though not a brand I'm familiar with. I bought one in lime green, one in red and one in purple, figuring they could work for a girl or boy. It was exciting to buy a baby thing!

I love going to the thirft stores when a certain color tag is .99....... Once I found 2 Organic Merino Wool calf length jackets (mens XXL) for $1 each. I haven't made anything with them yet. But I am thinking some longies (diaper covers with legs)and some family winter hats. I also grab all the saweaters I can find to make night time longies, one size fits 3mth-4yo for us.

Lotus Bumz - I've never heard of them, but in my time using cloth diapers I've learned that the ones that last the longest are the snapping pockets - all my others are tattered and worn out (fitteds, AIOs, and ESPECIALLY anything with Velcro), but my Fuzzibunz, Baby Kangas and Knickernappies look brand new despite over 2 years of heavy use (and about 3 washings a week).

I love snaps but of course I could buy wornout velcro ones and just put snaps on myself... a lot of the moms where I live bring their 1yo diapers to me for snaps because the velcro is worn out already. Also easy to change out blue snaps for purple or pink.

I like the way the pockets fit babies. We tried Haute pockets that we got new but on sale, I loved them but DS1 still got rashes. Both boys have very sweaty bodies with some fabrics and wool is the only thing that worked. DS2 loves wool and he rips off his diaper if we do anything but wool.

We have some wool, but I never really took to it. I think it might have been too itchy on ds's skin - dh is allergic to wool, so maybe he is too.

I have one Aristocrats, but I had to throw it out. I stored it for about half a year after it had been worn once and not washed (it ended up at the bottom of a pile of clean diapers and I just forgot about it) and when I went to take it out recently saw that it was full of holes - it had been eaten by some sort of bugs!

I also have a side-snapping felted wool cover - I forget the brand, but it's only one layer and never really worked well.
