    Congratulations!!!

I see you have two girls already- could I ask if it's that you want another girl or that you don't want a boy? Or neither of those things

Sorry to pry- was just interested. But please feel free to ignore me if that's a rude question xx

Sorry I wouldn't ask strangers questions like that in real life! Just feel on here we can be a bit more free to ask gender questions as it's why we're all here!

Hi pink, thank you! Don't apologize, happy to answer! I'm from a family of four girls and am extremely close with my sisters. We weren't swaying with either of our daughters, but were blessed with two girls. After seeing their bond form over the years, I would love to add another sister to the mix so that they can experience the relationships and closeness that I still have with my sisters today. Not to say that couldn't happen with a boy, but we do have a rather large age gap now (my girls are 19 months apart and will be 6 & 8 years old when this one is born) and I worried that a boy that is much younger than his two older sisters would feel a bit alienated, especially since there is ZERO shot that I can get DH onboard for another one after this. We feel so blessed to be pregnant and praying for healthy, regardless of gender, but again would love to give our girls another sister if it's meant to be.

i love seeing you write about how close you are with your sisters Max it helps me to feel that i am doing the right thing in swaying and so badly wanting sisters for my girls, so many people said we should stop at 1 girl (4 boys 1 girl) because she would be the only one and special etc etc but that didnt feel right to me at all, we have 4 boys and they are so close with one another, i truly hope i can give my girls the same

That's what I want 4blue2pink a baby sister for my little girl. I have three boys, so we need another girl for a tiny bit of balance.

Love that 4blue! I love seeing and hearing about the closeness of everyone's family dynamics! I've never experienced having a son and I'm sure that my girls would love a little brother endlessly (and I'm positive that my husband would LOVE the experience as well), but I just know my experience and would love to have my girls experience the same with another sister. That said, I know families where the opposite genders are closer than the same sex genders, there are so many variables and it's not guaranteed that they will share the same dynamics as we had growing up, but all things being equal I love the same sex friendships that can form and grow over the years!

mommy2 i get that completely, it isnt about just having 1 girl is it, its wanting to give her the same-sex sibling bonds that your boys are already enjoying like you said balance things a little too!

max im with you 100% i have both genders and my boys and girls are very close to one another which is so lovely! but i have a feeling the same gender siblings will probably get a bit closer than the opposite gender siblings as they get older, but that could be due to how our family is set out, 4 boys in a row followed by 2 girls in a row so gender wise they are in blocks! i worry another boy now would be separated age-wise from his brothers just a bit too much.. and id love my girls to have their own group, i think what it comes down too for me is wanting to give my girls what my boys already have

Good luck for pink! I think that's really cute and awesome that you want that for your girls ! How did you get your husband on board with the sway and for all girls? I am ttc my first and I really want a girl, but I'm pretty sure my husband would really want a boy lol. Having all girls sounds pretty good to me though!!!

Hi xx! DH would love a boy, but he really, really loves having his little girls also. I think he was impartial, so it was mostly me swaying. I didn't have to change too much other than cutting snacks and going slightly more vegetarian, so I'm not sure he was too aware that I was swaying. We also typically BD every 3-4 days (sometimes longer), so that party was easy for us as well.
