Has this ever happened to anyone before? I have no idea what is happening.

TTC first month here! DTD at CD20 (I have a 36-37 day cycle usually). Felt my period cramps coming. On CD 37 I had some brown spotting. Figured AF would start the next day. Nope. Brown spotting CD 38. It is now CD39 and cramping is mostly gone with more brown spotting.

Took a HPT on CD 36 and was negative.

I am on LE diet and slightly underweight.

Anyone have experience with this? When is CD1 for me? So confused.

Cd1 is the first day of red flow. You may just have spotting leading up to AF arriving. I just got AF after brown spotting yesterday. Sometimes a drop in estrogen that happens before AF shows up can cause some spotting.

Do you temp or use OPKs? AF could just be late or it is a late implanted BFP. Hard to say at this point.

Hi! I got a +OPK at CD20, we DTD that night. I am now on day 3 of brown but barely anything is happening down there. 1 tinge of red 1 time in 3 days. I usually spot for a day before my period but never 3 days. I am frustrated bc we are TTC and now I am worried this is a sign I didn't ovulate? So confused!! It is 2:30pm here on Day 3 of spotting and my pad from this morning has a very small amount of brown in it.

Yes it's fairly common on LE Diet and low weight to have a lighter period. That is quite light though and it may kick in more in the next day. I can't say what is CD 1 based on this.

Your ovulation was delayed - have you been having unprotected sex in the meantime??? You couldn't have ovulated on CD 20 and you could have possibly conceived!

The good news is these light periods seem to be associated with more girls conceived. I conceived my daughter in a month after a very light period like that.

Thanks. I guess I am just worried because I am now on the 3rd day of brown spotting. Maybe a tinge or red once or twice. I normally spot brown for a day then start red flow.

My husband works 3rd shift so we ONLY DTD on CD20 when I got a +OPK. I don't feel pregnant. Just cramping, some low back pain. How do I know when to start using OPKs if I am just spotting? Is this a sign I didn't ovulate? I normally am not the type to panic about anything but it's just not normal for me.

Also, I always cramp either the day of my period or 2nd day. But this cycle I cramped for like 9 days before my period started.

Yep my OPK was positive CD20. It is now CD 40. And no flow. Just brown. :-/

Ok then it's very unlikely you'd be pregnant and not getting a pos pregnancy test.

It is much, much likelier you ovulated later than you think than that you didn't ovulate at all. Please try not to panic about not ovulating, the most likely scenario is that you either did, or you will. And even if you don't, what will happen is that your estrogen drops, your lining will come off, and this acts as a hormonal reset button anyway.
