One reason that influenced me swaying with #6 is to give my daughter a sister. I would have loved her if she had been a boy, just as much, but I am elated that for our last little one, we have another girl, who will have and be a sister in my other daughter.
I have a twin sister and I can't imagine life without her. But I'm not sure giving anyone a specific gender sibling would be the "why" that I tried again... however if I was going to try, I'd try for a particular gender without pause (which we did).

Flomama- We are done! 4 kids is the max for us, and we both feel complete! After my postpartum pre-e, we are SO done! I’m not going through that again! Plus, my DH already got a vasectomy. We just felt we are done. I think you should keep your options open, since you don’t feel like you’re done.
Good luck to you!

Aw that's awesome!! [emoji171]
Well I'm "older" (41y) so my kids are 15, 13, 11, 9, and 5. That definitely helps. I work full time but used to be a full time Mom. I swapped my husband 7.5 years ago for that roll because his job was sending him out of town in increasing increments and it was going to be full time away and I couldn't do it. It was a hard but very worthwhile switch since we are still married and all that. We live by a shared Google calendar, let a LOT of things go, sometimes don't get any quiet time together for long weeks at a time... but life has been awesome in the stressful and hard parts put together and we wouldn't change things. We never expected to have 6...
And yes, we are blessed. Very. [emoji1373]Last edited by Birthfree; October 20th, 2017 at 07:42 AM.

Roe, I was induced this time around due to my liver enzymes being elevated (no urine in protein) and was 38 weeks exact. I have always gone into labor on my own and arrived at the hospital at a 7 or for my second a 10. Being induced was very different and scary for me to. I won’t lie it was equally as tough as my first but i labored unmedicated (outside the pitocin and magnesium) and she came in three hours from when they started pitocin. Very quick. Difficult but an incredible birth story. I literally pushed her out in 30 seconds. Remember, all that matters is having a healthy baby in your arms. I kept telling myself that after my friend lost hers at 39 weeks just a few weeks ago. Hold tight and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s already here!!!

Thank you all for you words of encouragement and thoughts! Palmer Kenneth arrived this morning at 11:34am weighing 7 lbs 13 oz and 20.25 inches long(smallest of my 3 boys). They started pitocin at 9-9:30 last night. I labored as long as I could but as they bumped up the Pit it got unbearable especially because my cervix wasn’t changing at all! I got my epidural which was lovely until it bottomed out my BP 80/50. It was scary and I felt like complete crap. They gave me meds to bring the BP up and then all was good. However, I still hadn’t progressed. Not even one centimeter! They decided to break my water at 6am. I quickly went from 3-5cm and stayed there. I thought for sure I’d be getting my first c-section. They bumped the pitocin to the max infusing dose and turned me on my side with what they call the peanut pillow to keep my hips open. By 10:45 I was feeling a lot pressure. She checked me and I was complete and ready to push. We waited for my doctor and after two contractions, our perfect little guy was here! We couldn’t love him more!
