Hcg Level yesterday was 33. Im surprised that that little amount of hcg can make a opk that positive. So i was told... use protection until you get a negative home pregnancy test, but yesterday's appeared negative too within the timeframe and that was a 33 hcg. I feel like i will NEVER know when im in the clear to start TTC. I wish there was more info about this. And it was clear cut.

HGmama - I may have told you some of this already (if so sorry!) but when I had a HCG level of 25, I was still getting +HPTs and +OPKs (wondfo brand). 6 days after the blood draw that showed a level of 25, AF started. So I think in my case, the +OPKs were like Pbn said from the HCG hormone.

How far out are you from the D&C? Both my OB and my RE have told me that it's best to wait at least until your first AF returns before trying again. The RE said there is some evidence that getting pregnant again before you've had AF return can raise the risk of miscarriage. I know it's controversial and every doctor may have different views on how long you should wait. It can also cause issues, if you do get pregnant, in trying to date the pregnancy since it wont be a "normal", 28-ish day cycle with a clear CD1, etc.

I was very confused after the D&C about whether after my HCG dropped, if I would ovulate, have my LP, and then have AF start, or if AF would start as soon as the HCG hit zero (or close to it). In my case, I don't think I ovulated before AF started, since 6 days before it started I still had an HCG level of 25 and like Pbn said my body still thought it was pregnant. In my case I think the progesterone plummeted as soon as HCG got close to zero and that brought on AF. But I think each woman is different and it depends on what your body does I guess. I think what doctors will say is that you may ovulate before AF, or you may not, and they can't really predict either way. I actually do think I ovulated about 2 weeks after each of my first two miscarriages started, but those were natural m/cs at 5 weeks with WAY lower hormone levels.

If it were me (and sadly I've been here 3 times now), I would wait until AF starts before trying again. I think it's probably better for your body, it makes dating the pregnancy easier if you do get pregnant right away, etc. And again, it's very possible you wont even ovulate before you get AF. And for me I'm on my first full cycle after AF started and things still seem screwed up hormone-wise. I always ovulate around day 14 or 15 and I'm on day 19 right now and still not sure if I've ovulated, which is crazy weird for me as my cycles are so regular and experience has shown me that things bounce back very quickly for me after m/c's. But I think b/c I was further along this time, hormone levels were higher, and I had a D&C things are still kinda out of wack.

Sorry that's a lot - just again telling you again what my recent experience has been

Mummy - Ugh so frustrating!! I hope we at least know for sure which way this is going in the next day or so

Gafan wow that temp jump is awesome!!! With my last pregnancy I kinda knew I was pregnant because my temps just keep going up each day for the first week or so after ovulation. Hoping that is the same for you!!!! I wish you were closer to testing time!!

Thank you ABC. Yesterday was 24 days post d&c. I think it's best for me to wait for a AF and have that certainly of tracking. Plus if im going to sway again, i need to start on that like now. DH is allergic to latex and we havent used protection in 8 years (minus bc pills and iud) so we would need to take a trip to the store and that complicates things. I was hoping pull out would be a good enough thought since im probably not ovulating. I do think i must have an cyst or something on that left side. Ive had them in the past. Guess ill just see what DH wants to do.

Will they do an ultrasound on you after AF starts? I have a big cyst on my right ovary that they found last week. I just posted a thread on here the other day and atomic thinks it probably developed as a result of the pregnancy/miscarriage, as that apparently is something that commonly happens.

Geez - it's like you and I have just been on the same path the past couple of months, yea? As I recall we got our BFPs within a few days of each other, had D&Cs after missed miscarriages, have had to deal with these HCG blood draws after the D&Cs and not knowing what the heck is going on and now possibly both having cysts!! Crazy. Here's hoping that we're both going to see happier days ahead soon with BFPs and sticky beans!

Hgmama I agree 150% with Abc about waiting until after this cycle of mc and d&c to try again. It is ultimately up to you of course and we will support you either way, we can only give our personal opinions but again it's for you to decide [emoji173]

Well I'm now on a mission to stop anyone buying and getting hope from one step cheap tests!! I did another ( as I am a crazy obsessive) and look at this for a false positive! It's definitely not right as I put another in the same sample and its completely white! Grrrr.

Sounds like waiting for AF is the best plan HGmama. Hopefully it won't be too long for you. Pull out has always worked for us as contraception (unfortunately lol)
