Has anyone's intuition about the gender of their babe been right? I wanted a daughter with my son but deep down I knew it was a boy before it was proven to me.

Both hubby and I though DS1 was a boy right from the beginning (I didn't really have a preference gender wise for first baby), with DS2 we both thought girl to start with (really swayed hard and hoped it had worked) but I found out after very clear boy nub he was all boy and he was not modest at our anatomy scan so I knew without asking, with this Bub I am not sure - I feel some days it's a girl but am convincing myself it's another boy so I am not so devastated when I do hear boy. So intuition only 50% correct with me but I think gender desire really messes with intuition. Was correct when gender desire didn't come into it.

This is exactly the same with us. Knew DS1 was a boy from the second I found out I was pregnant. Thought DS2 was gonna be a girl. Maybe hoped? We didn't find out but at about 30 weeks I got in a panic over choosing a boy name so maybe deep down I did know.
This time I'm convinced it's a boy. I don't really want to flirt with the idea that it may be a girl.
Part of wanting to find out is I don't want other people to tell me that they think it's a girl because of how I'm carrying or look or their instinct. Because I don't want to be convinced that I'm having a girl and it's not.

Ok ladies talk me down here... girl babies can measure big too right? Babies are measuring 8w5d and 8w4d. I should be 8w2d today. I do think I implanted early (clear bfp at 8 dpo). But my boys always measured big so now I'm worried it's 2 boys!

Heart rates are super fast - 176 and 185!! Unfortunately I don't really believe in the heartbeat thing though!

But outside of my current gender freak out everything is looking great!

Girls can measure big too! They do in my husband's family. All babies do in his family, we haven't had a baby come out under 8 pounds, no matter gender!

My DD always measured ahead. At her 40 week scan her legs measured at 43 weeks lol. And this was even with her being born actually relatively light (6lb, 10 oz)! And I was the smallest of my 3 sisters at 8 lb, 8 oz :P my middle sister was a full pound heavier.

That you have twins growing ahead AND with such strong HBs is amazing ABC. So promising! And I'm telling you -- I feel at least one of those is a girl and I'm leaning on both! :P

DS always was small (up until the day he was born that is lol, figures). I am constantly hungry and have an insatiable appetite, which of course is another boy owt- anyone have any encouragement of that being the case for a girl?

I probably shouldn’t call it an owt since studies have shown women carrying boy fetuses consume more calories that their female carrying counterparts

Haha I am hoping it's accurate for me since I've been ravenous this whole pregnancy (and am practically weaned off prednisone, and appetite has stayed the same). And I wasn't ever super hungry with DD.

BUT my mom always said she was HUNGRY with me and my sisters! She also never had a lick of nausea with any of us. Again... these OWTs are still so silly! Even though I just combed every forum online about acne and boys lol

Thanks ladies - I'm sure it doesn't mean anything... except maybe that I just make big babies. Although DS2 was only 7 lbs 10 oz, but early in the pregnancy he was always ahead. Everyone in DH's family is SUPER tall - even his sister - and his brother and his wife just gave birth a few months back to a 10 1/2 lb baby! (A boy, but even their daughter was over 9 lbs I believe!). I think we may just be a "we make big babies" family too.

TP I know I was surprised & thrilled though that they are measuring so well! I kept asking if those heart rates were too high but they said they were good! Still so unreal that there's two in there!!

ABC I wouldn't worry about the measuring. Especially if your other babies were big. That's probably just the size of babies you grow. I don't even believe in the measurements my first was measuring on track and was born massive in the 90th percentile and has stayed there. My second was measuring over a week ahead from like 20 weeks and I thought I was having a huge baby. He was born in the 40th percentile and has caught up to the 70th. So that was wrong! Lol
As for the heart rate. Whether you believe it or not it's a nice sign! I'm hoping the HR thing is right cuz my boys were in the 140s. Second low 150s. And this one is 162 so I'm hoping there is something to it.... I'd feel more confident if it was as high as yours were though Haha.
