Sounds nice! Husband can stay here too (its going to be a private hospital) We talked to an other hospital and they said it depends on the doctor if they take the baby for observation or not. So im gonna talk more with my doctor. When they take the baby away for measuring and those things the father can go too.I dont understand why they would need to have them for observation unless something is wrong with the baby.

Lld2006 congratulations on your little boy. I hope you're feeling ok.
Thanks Aussiettc. I feel really nervous, much more nervous than I was expecting. I have an exam coming up next week that I've been revising for and between that and the scan I'm feeling really stressed this evening.

Thx girls. It has been such a busy day...my mom was here for the ultrasound & my nieces and nephews are in town tonight....that I haven't had a lot of time to let it soak in. I think seeing the penis at 12 weeks really was the hardest....today was merely confirmation to me. But boy was it still SO HARD. I asked her to wait until the very end so I could just enjoy it first. Baby gave a "thumbs up" almost first thing...it was adorable. Do st the end when she checked...I saw the penis right away...which she confirmed. Oh the tears! It was awful. Cried outside in between my appts for 25 minutes turnoff and on throughout the afternoon. Once it gets quiet I am afraid it will hit me again. I immediately told DH we have to go HT. he is adamantly against "going against nature" so I might have a difficult road ahead of me. I just can't try swaying again...I want a girl, not just a 4th baby. Guess I better start saving money now. What is it, around $15K?
Now onto names I guess. Boys bunk beds are arriving tomo so I will concentrate on that, then begin the nursery. Changing it all up as I can't look at the same decorations for this third boy. For names, I like Cooper, but DH is not a fan. I like Madden a lot, too, but worried it could be confused as a girls name?
Fir those of you who are having your third, fourth, etc of the same gender, are you keeping it a secret or telling friends the gender? I thought I was 100% NOT telling, but I'm starting to rethink??? Suggestions? Experiences?2008

I will hopefully be having 1 more. We did plan on 5 anyway, then DH started saying maybe 4 was enough. But he still mentions "next time" and so I'm taking that as a glimmer of hope and working on it.
I was planning to sway but I'm not sure now.
I didn't sway this time, but I had some 'accidental' sway going on. Like I was still breastfeeding. I was getting a little down about not being pregnant after 2 and half years and hadn't been eating well. Also read about PH after falling pregnant and 'think' I may have had a 'girl' PH due to ending up with thrush about a day after we DTD which must have been the time we conceived.
I wasn't exercising.
This time we DTD the day before O (although I had irregular cycles and usually O'd from day 21 or later, that month I ended up O'ing a few days earlier)
With my others I DTD the day of O, for DS1 and DS2. and 3 days before O for DS3.
But other than those few accidental changes my whole life is usually a boy sway.
I was undecided on swaying next time. I thought it would probably get my hopes up more and cause me more upset when I got another boy. But then I worried I would feel I hadn't tried hard enough to get a girl.
Now though I'm not sure I would want to sway, because I quite like the idea (atm) of all boys. I have a name for another boy already and seeing so many pluses to a 5th boy and have become fiercely protective over having 4 boys. I hate the thought that people would think I just kept going till I got a girl. So for now I'm hoping DH agrees to one more and we get a boy.
Its strange because if I got a girl it would be nice and looking at girls clothes I still would like to buy them, but I no longer feel that a girl is whats missing from my life or that a daughter would complete me or my family.
Next time I actually get pregnant though it could be a whole different story LOL
Just had to share these for anyone in the UK who likes these bands. They are from Asda £4 each

I did exercise but not quite as recommended. The point is to lose muscle so it is recommended to do 60 min 6x a week. Normal cardio at shorter length can build muscle (and raise testosterone) as well as losing weight. For me, I knew that I was at maximum muscle mass before I started and the only exercise I did prior was muscle building, and never cardio. So I knew that for me any cardio would burn fat/muscle and that I could not add muscle. I did 30 min most days although a few it was more like 15. Unless you know you are at optimum muscle mass, I don't think the lesser amount that I did would work. I knew I was on the right track as I lost all my muscles (sad at the time, but have been easier than thought to build it back up). Here is a link to my sway http://genderdreaming.com/forum/add-...girl-sway.html . The one thing that now appears to have success that I didn't know at the time was adding fiber,so that is the only other thing I might have tried. Also, I was upset at not getting a bfp sooner as I hated diet, but glad it took longer as I think 90 days is optimum as it takes an egg that long to mature.
I think it would help everyone out if everyone entered in their results in the sway poll http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...readsheet.html . I think as more people enter their info successful and not it helps to make it clearer what does have an effect and doesn't. As time goes on I think that there is better picture of what works, and hope that by the time those who want to go for another are ready, there will be clearer options.
For me, I think 4 kids is a nice even # (before I never wanted more than 2, but they steal your heart) but time is not on my side with that so we will be done at 3. I have to admit that I am a little sad at not being able to be known as a (exclusive) boy mom anymore as there is something special about that. I am not giving her back though!Mom to2009 and
