Ladies, need to share. All day today I have just been feeling so gross and down about how large I am already. This is my 2nd and my tummy is completely flat when I wake up in the morning, but as soon as I eat anything I swear it looks like I am 25 weeks pregnant. Part of the issue is that I was 15 lbs heavier when I conceived this one than when we conceived DD (thanks HE diet ), but I am seriously so grossed out with myself. I weighed myself today and already weigh 172. I was 183 the day I gave birth to my daughter and I am only 13.5 weeks. I gained 35 lbs when pregnant with her. I have an athletic build...played college soccer...but seriously I just look big and fat and gross. Sigh. Is anyone else feeling this way or have felt this way? I am really struggling with this. SO SORRY for the vent!

My tummy starts small and ends up huge by the end if the day too! I am going to do light weights so that my arms are toned if nothing else!

I don't think dieting is a good idea when pg unless you seriously overweight which you are so not even if you do not like what the mirror shows The only thing we can do is eat heathily (no empty calories) and do light exercise. That way we will be more toned during pregnancy and there won't be as much to lose afterwards.

Onthepond - Aww, so sorry you feel yucky! Yes, same here...tiny tummy in the morning, giant by the end of the day. It's a bummer! Will you nurse? Of course, that will help the weight just melt off! It'll be gone before you know it!

Waiting4Daisy - Oh wow, 6! I love it!! Wish I was so brave! Still not sold on 5. We'll see how 4 goes. Am just super happy that DH is supportive. If I decide to do another sway, I will definitely have age on my side. I guess that's one advantage of being so OLD!!

Meeks - Boo on the weekend. Hope you can catch up on your sleep now that you're home! And poor little DS2...hope he feels better soon!

AFM - Fun day with the fam. We drove up to the mountains and had such a nice family day together...well, except that DS3 (15 months) was pretty wretched in the car. It's a 2-2.5 hour drive, and really, we should know better. He just can't handle it! But, when not in the car, it's a sweet, fun time together. Talked with DH about baby names...starting to feel better about this little guy. Oh, and seriously saw multiple rainbows today...like 6 or 7 different ones at different times. Feeling encouraged!

Myrainbowgirl have you come up with any good names yet?

We haven't got much further than Emily surprise surprise. I am not 100% sure if i want that name but have not got anything better yet. I have been thinking of that name for over a year now as a sort of codename for swaying and DG etc so it is hard to think beyond it. DS1 suggested flower and DS2 still wants it to be a boy and to call it Buzz Lightyear. Hmmm not much help then!

Emily-names are so hard! We are in the same boat with names if this is a boy. :-)

AFM-mom is all better now! Glad that's over!

Does anyone have insomnia? I have been waking up at 4:30am for the last week. I haven't been napping or sleeping in. But at 4:30 all the sudden my eyes pop open! What is up? Baby is not active at that time so I don't know what it is. I am getting about 6 hours of sleep! And I am exhausted! What can I do?

Onthepond I totally feel you. I think this time I have worried about weight gain more but I think it's mainly that I forget how it feels being pregnant. Because its easy to remember the sickness or cute movements or when your belly was too big to paint your nails, but its hard to remember the constant challenge watching the scales go up, and having to be ok with it!!!

Seriously, it's the only time in life we are supposed to see the weight pile on and not worry, yet we are all programmed to only want to see the scale go down. Maybe don't weight yourself for a while. I find I feel fatter on days I weigh myself!!!

I have gained a fair bit already and was blaming LE for wrecking my metabolism but I read your story and now just think swaying changes our body (its meant to, that's why it works) but also our self image. It will fall off when bubs arrives and you lost it before, you will again.

But I totally know how you feel! Xx

Ok ladies by this time tomorrow I will have the gender envelope in my hands! Eck!!!!! Who here thinks I have enough will power to wait until Monday? Bahahahha!!!! Leave for our trip Wednesday evening so I only have to be brave for the rest of the day on Tuesday and Wednesday! Eck! Eck! Eck!

Meeks-do you have your scan tomorrow? I can't remember if you said you would get a scan or not. Eck for you to if you do! This is exciting but also nerve racking!

I'm much fatter this time round, put on just 14 pounds already. Pre preggo I am 110-114 pounds, a uk size 8. Petite. Pregnancy I get a massive bum and can't even wear a maternity size 10 trousers. I'm just gonna wear dresses this time round!

Normally I haven't really put on any weight at this point. I am way fatter in this pregnancy and the weight is on my hips, my bump is going out the way to the sides as well as front, and my legs/thighs/face. People keep saying how neat I am and I'm like my god you should have seen me with my others! I was so small bump wise, like always carry so neat that I'd measure 32 weeks at term (my babies were never restricted growth or anything), just cos I don't carry much water or anything.

So the dr office just tried to call and reschedule my scan for tomorrow! I was freaking out on the inside but staying calm and told them in a nice way that I was going to need to be seen tomorrow for my scan. They passed me to 4 different people on the phone but they finally agreed that I needed to be seen since I will be spot on 20 weeks tomorrow! Ok now my blood pressure can come back down! So tomorrow it is!
