Well that is a bummer they won't redo it. I am going in for a 15 week scan tomorrow (elective) and I asked if I would get a redo if I don't see gender and they said YES!! The first type of scan they offer is "gender determination" at 15 weeks. Sorry you don't get a redo. Will be waiting for your update!!

Turned in for an update and we're still guessing - come on baby!
Hope its not going to be as awkward as mine -i've had two scans a week and a bit apart with babe in different positions and both times the tech said (different one) baby has its legs closed but if i had to guess i'd say girl - typical - i'd been dreaming of hearing its a girl at my scan for 8 years and i've still not experienced that moment! - fingers crossed you do
I'm not sure either line is in the right place and its tricky if baby is curled up but the green line looks more in the right place to me but hopefully love my four will chirp in and tell you for sure

Thanks peeps
Where I drew the line there are actual vertebrae. Maybe baby isn't completely on it's back, I'm not sure, but yeah, the reason I drew the lines there is because when I have it blown up on my computer screen I can see the spine clearly. I don't know though -- I'm certainly not an US expert.
I really hope that at 19 weeks my scan is conclusive and I no longer have to ponder the question. I'm sick of trying to guess and wonder what it is I'm going to have to deal with this time around.I won't tell you all what date or time it is so that I don't have a big build up and let down if baby is difficult again!

Monumental bummer, Hoping. Here's hoping the time flies until your next scan. The wait is just torture! Can't wait for your update!
