I know people who have had more kids in your situation, and you never know what the future holds financially I hope my optimism doesn't both you, but 90% of the people I know who thought they were "done" having kids had at LEAST one more after that.

We were done at 3, there was no way i was entertaining a 4th! yet here i am

I know its not easy i hit rock bottom with GD with ds3 after my sway failed but i was honestly excited by the time he came. Yes i still desperartley longed for a daughter but i managed to separate that from how i felt about him. Now he is the most precious little thing that adds so much to our family and loves his mama to bits, we wouldn't trade him for the world
    Me, DH, the three musketers:

    DS1

    DS2

    DS3

    And our little princess

By the grace of god our precious little girl joined our family, hoping and praying for many happy years together

It's completely ok to feel upset, you build your hopes up on a dream. I have two girls and I swayed blue for my second so at the 20 wk scan I was, to put it mildly, completely devestated when I found out it was another girl. I'm glad I found out tho because it gave me time to get used to the idea I was having another daughter and by the time bubba gets here you will have put this cloud behind you and he will bring you a joy you didn't even realise possible. God give you the opportunity to get your baby girl somehow in the future, sending you all my pink dust, big hugs and lots of love xxx

Don't feel bad for crying. After I found out DS2 was a boy at my 20 week scan I walked out and bawled on my mum. We went shopping and I started crying again (so not me as I hate people seeing me cry). That night when everyone else was asleep I cried and cried again. DH never knew I cried and we were talking jsut last week about it as my best friend is pregnant no.3 and wants a girl so bad and he doesn't understand it at all hense why I never cried infront of him.

Anyway what made me feel better is finding a name and bedroom theme to start decorating. It really got me over it and I was excited. Now after having two boys I have to agree 2 boys are great. I went back for a 3rd and got my girl I wanted but I am pretty sure I would have been alright with another boy after my two boys.
and Hoping to even up my family with another
