Got both our boys with doggy. I always had multiple big O's (sorry if TMI). We are planning to do either me on top or missionary with J and D and no big O.

I really don't think position can be much of a sway factor. And even if it was, it would depend entirely on your individual anatomical makeup, ie. which way your cervix/uterus tilts.

All 3 of my boys were conceived missionary anyways so meh, I put no stock in position helping or hurting. My uterus is also a bit tilted so we're DTD doggy this time because it took so danged long to conceive at all before, that missionary probably just made it harder to conceive, period.

Lace, I don't believe that. I rarely do doggy bc I find it uncomfortable and like I said earlier, 99% of the time I do missionary, that's how I conceived all 6 of my pregnancies without even TTC. And I have a VERY tilted cervix/retroverted uterus. Both times I had IUDs inserted by drs about to retire who had been practicing for 40 years, they said they'd never seen such a tilted cervix. Other OBGYNs have said similar things. So I really don't think position matters. The sperm swim regardless.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

    LacePrincess and Maidentomother,

Did you lay down on your stomach after the attempt to aid conception?
I also have tilted uterus and read/heard that if you will lay on the stomach it will help

I have never done this. I too have a retroverted uterus (think slide), and I either fell asleep afterward or J and Ded with both of my boys.

Also have very tilted uterus and no trouble conceiving, either missionary or me on top. DS 4 may have been doggy style but the others weren't. But that having been said I have seen a few people who did seem to have success by laying on tummy after BD with tilted uterus. now whether that was coinki-dink or not, I cannot say.

One thing I do personally believe true for ~me~ is that it has seemed to help for me to lay flat after BD for a while. I rem. that with DS 1, 3 and I believe 4 I did lay flat (not sure on DS 2 but he is SUPER lazy, and I can't imagine him being in a hurry to get anywhere even as a sperm cell LOL) and then with DD, I was trying to J and D or else getting up for whatever reason after BD and this went on for 5 months and then the 6th month, for whatever reason I just stayed laying flat and fell asleep, which I hardly ever do but that was the month I got the BFP.

I rarely lay on my stomach. I'm sure at least half of my pregnancies if not more/all were J&D bc I am super prone to UTIs so I'd get up to go pee within 5 minutes. And I have been lying (on my back) for at least 15 min since actively TTC (7 cycles so far) and no BFP. But my first pregnancy I was having daily sex, pregnancies 2-5 were with my late DH and we were crazy fertile together. And pregnancies 1-5 were all from age 20-26.

Definitely seems like it's not one thing across the board. I definitely agree I'm way too Martha about all this Atomic lol. Although I honestly can say I'm at least feeling relaxed about gender more this time around then with my last, although I'm definitely interested in opinions. I also have a tilted uterus and have conceived pretty easily in the past.
