I'd be hesitant to go against your doctor's advice, especially when we're talking about baby.

If you have known vitamin deficiencies then you should take as per your doctor's request. However sometimes I have seen doctors be a bit overzealous to use the lack of a prenatal as an explanation for everything when the vast majority of losses are chromosomal or thyroid related.
Can you elaborate on what the deficiencies were?!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Sorry, missed some if these responses!
Maidentomother, I hear what you're saying and totally agree that some thin people do not lose too much weight or lose O when they do the full-fledged LE diet, but I do. I've tried it and I stop having periods and my weight gets low enough that my doctor worries about bone loss. I wish that weren't the case, but I feel it's essential that we all listen to our bodies and do what we can do. I also went through years of an eating disorder and complete amenorrhea when I was younger, so there's some history there.
As for vitamin deficiencies, the only one that has been tested and confirmed is vitamin D deficiency, and I take a supplement for that. Anything else is only "suspected." I agree that doctors tend to blame too much on unconfirmed suspicions, but I guess it makes me a little nervous to go against advice. Definitely not saying doctors are all-knowing or always right.
Anyway, we did one attempt, so currently in the 2ww, knowing the sway could have been better and trying to feel at peace with that. If this is not our month, we'll take a month or two off and revise/strengthen the plan.
Thank you for all the feedback and advice! Good luck to us all.

What I would consider, then, is taking the Vit. D as prescribed and then considering (not saying you must or should) reducing dose on prenatal to 3x a week. You'll still be getting nutrients regularly that way and it may be a compromise that could possibly help.
Or not - it is TOTALLY at your discretion but prenatals for blue sways are one of our most consistently successful tactics.

zetta, I'm more suggesting you do the diet without losing any weight at all. It can be done!
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period
