I'm not sure if this has been definitively proven yet but I think the severe nausea and the excessive saliva and/or metal taste in mouth go together somehow.
Do try the MetroMint water girlie was mentioning - I never used it during pregnancy but I do sometimes have it as a refreshing drink in the summer.

I used to dribble all the time during pregnancy (and I suffered with several MS up until 15 weeks with all pregnancies) it could be quite embarrassing at times!

I just read something on watermelon being a big morning sickness help. If it's available by you, maybe try that? Even if it's in popsicle form from the freezer section?
