Morning/24 hour sickness started at 6 weeks and it is hitting me hard. With DD I had it but not this bad. I seriously can not function! I have already lost 5 lbs. I have tried everything from ginger ale to preggie pops and nothing is working. I can hardly get anything done around the house. I am barely eating and when I do it's barely considered food. I haven't been able to make dinner for my family in 2 weeks. I really hope there is nothing to the wives tales saying that girls make you sicker because I can't do this again. I feel like I am never going to feel normal again. End of whining and complaining. I am just so depressed and sick of being sick and worthless to my family.

You poor thing! Hope you feel better soon. I heard powerful morning sickness means twins (not trying to freak you out). Personally I suffered from horrible morning sickness with my first boy, everyday, lost a lot of weight and needed medication to stop. Horrible stuff! Hang on, it will pass.

You should phone your midwife. My sister and I have (had) hyperemesis gravidarum and it sounds like you have this as well. You need to have you urine checked to see if you have too much ketosis going on there. You'll feel better after they give you medication and possibly an iv drip. Oh and I was just as nausious with my boys as I was with my girl. So you still have a good shot at your prince!

I've had two boys and been so ridiculously sick. The people I know who had bad morning sickness all had boys - the ones who barely had it had girls. I don't think it means anything so there is still hope for you!
I had to take a really high dose of Diclectin (canadian name) with every pregnancy to survive. I know it's available in the US so maybe check into it - no side affects except for being super tired.. but I'll take that over puking 24/7

I hope you start feeling better soon. I was sick with all three of my girls and I know so many people that had boys and were very sick. Hang in there you and your family will get through this stage I know its very hard.

You ladies are all so wonderful! Thank you all for your support. I still feel awful but remembering that I am not the only one who has or is feeling this way makes it a little easier.

I am horribly sick too. I feel like what you wrote is my life. I can't even function. I have even taken meds and nothing works. I've been homebound for 2 weeks now. On top of all of it I can horrible sinus headaches. Glad to know I'm not alone. If anyone finds a miracle please share. Good luck to us

I had 3 boys and was so so sick! I could barely function. I went on zofran it helped a little so I would look into that. I think you wanted a boy, right? So that's a good sign for you!
